Spiral works with young people that have/are being effected by bullying or at higher risk of being targeted by bullying. We offer 1-21 support and group work to build emotional resilience in young people and their families.

Provision of housing for the elderly of Kendal in one bedroom flats and bungalows. The Almshouse occupiers must be in need and are means tested. A monthly maintenance contribution, currently £190, is made towards the cost of maintaining the almshouse. The charity is financially sound and the dwellings are in excellent order.

To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation of the landscape, biodiversity and cultural heritage of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and adjacent areas, and the social and economic well-being of its local communities; and to encourage others to engage with, understand, enjoy and protect these areas.2. PROMOTION OF THE BIBLICAL CHRISTIAN FAITH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT

Mountain rescue activities ,predominantly in the Ennerdale, Buttermere and Loweswater areas of North West Cumbria, in the Lake district and further afield if required. To maintain a fully operating rescue team that can be available 24hrs per day 365 days a year.

Local based community centre catering for the ward of St Aidans and covering activities for all ages

We work with diverse ethnic communities including Asylum Seekers, Refugees and their families. Services include Youth & Community work, advocacy, hate crime support, education & training. We support individuals with a range of issues. These issues are complex due to immigration status, racism & discrimination. We deliver youth provision, community outreach, group sessions, activities and events.

Providing specialist 'all-terrain' mobility scooters to outdoor businesses and attractions to improve access to the countryside, for people with limited or restricted disability.

Regular public worship open to all. The provision of sacred space for prayer and contemplation. Teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups. Pastoral work including visits to the sick and bereaved. Taking of assemblies in schools. Promoting the mission of the church through provision of activities for various groups. Supporting other charities in the UK and abroad.

Church in the Barn is a family church and we desire to see all ages come into a closer relationship with Christ Jesus. A warm welcome awaits anyone who wants to join us in worship in our gentle but lively style of praise every Sunday at 11am and 6.30pm.We also operate a Sunday School and a large youth club, 'Youth in the Barn' which meets every Friday evening at 7.30pm.

The Community Centre provides a wide range of recreational and social facilities, including a large hall and stage. This is used by the community and community groups for weddings,race-nights,dances,quizzes,public meetings etc. In addition there are a number of community groups - currently totalling some 20 organisations that use the facilities. There is also a squash court,sauna,fitness suite.

We are an animal rescue and rehoming charity, operating within and around Cumbria. We aim to help neglected or unwanted animals, and to arrange for the provision of good homes for them. Furness Education and Skills Partnership works with schools and the wider community to help young people gain the skills, experience and confidence to have successful futures. We design and deliver projects and events which raise awareness of opportunities, develop skills and put learning into a real context for young people. Our work dovetails into that of the local Careers Hub.

We are a small Pre-School set in the premises of Cockermouth Methodist Church. We cater for children from 2 to 5 years and provide a safe and happy environment for them to learn and play. We are currently rated GOOD by Ofsted.
