Initiated by a personal bequest, the Trust offers direct and indirect financial support for the elderly and those suffering with mental illness in the Hurworth area. The 'Hurworth area' is defined by the following boundaries: River Tees; A167; A66 & Neasham Road which forms a rectangle containing ca 4000 inhabitants.

We have always strived to be a help to the cancer community and have done this verysuccessfully but we are hearing of other hospital departments that also need help sowe would like to broaden our objectives that way can provide equipment for thetreatment of other illnesses while still providing help for those affected by Cancer .

Award of one or more annual prizes for research work undertaken under the direction of a member of the Association of Physicians of the North East of England, in order to encourage young doctors to research and expand medical knowledge.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Darlington and the surrounds by the provision of facilities for amateur boxing and other fitness-improving activity.

Support of Christian education and children's organisations in the parish of Heighington, principally Heighington C of E (Voluntary Controlled) Primary School.

Medical education: provision of education in Dermatology to members of the Department of Dermatology, Co. Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust, GPs, Community Nursing staff, Pharmacists, and anyone caring for patients with skin disease, with the aim of providing first-class services.

Round Table supports local needs together with large national charities.

Teaching, training and organizing events for young Chess players in the North East of England

All Saints' Church, Girsby, in the parish of Sockburn, is a parish church in the Diocese of Durham serving the local parish, diocese and beyond through public worship, teaching, pastoral work and outreach.

Fundraising for: (1)Local charities.(2) An overseas good cause.

We run a monthly support group in Teesside for anyone affected by the death of a baby, lead by trained peer supporters (all of whom have experienced the death of a baby themselves). We also provide support via email and social media. We work with healthcare professionals, to improve understanding and support given and also to provide education through training to improve bereavement care.

During the pandemic and the ensuing months our activities were necessarily limited. We did make up mouth care packs consisting of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and information about head and neck cancer. These were distributed to food banks in local areas. Thanks to helpers in Stockton and Darlington.We are now beginning the process of strengthening the charity with some new trustees and supporters

The charity activities includes support for children/young people and their family especially single parents. Supporting them with childcare advices and support in relations to their person centered needs and challenges they are facing being lone parents.

Provision of open space for recreational activities and wild life support

(1)The study of Natural History, Geology and Archaeology. (2)The collection of information concerning topography, field paths. natural and archaelogical features of Darlington District and Teesdale including compilation of lists of recent fossils, fauna and flora.(3) The preservation of characteristic plants and animals of the district.

Providing relief for any distressed member of the Provincial Grand Conclave of North and East Yorkshire or any former member thereof or his widow or children.

The charity exists to promote music, especially the organ, and to encourage people to learn to play and contribute to local musical life.

Gives small grants to individuals in North East England and Cumbria who have had a Breast Cancer Diagnosis.Grants up to £100. Fundraising events mainly organised locally.
