Our charity is dedicated to rebuilding lives after brain injury for survivors and families. We cover Darlington, South Durham, Teesside, Hambleton and Richmondshire, delivering services and activities based at The Headway Hub in Darlington. As well as arts and crafts, trips out, ten-pin bowling, discussion groups and advice and information, we run awareness sessions and fundraising activities.

Helping develop child-focused rehabilitation programme, health education programme (including AIDS awareness, and diabetes), Christian education programme and income generating projects in Lesotho; developing educational projects for schools and raising awareness and support of initiatives in Durham diocese; fostering closer spiritual links between Anglican church in Lesotho and Durham

Rescues and rehabilitates sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs. Takes in casualties from Northumberland in the North to Durham in the South.

To promote healthy recreation in the community, in particular providing the facilities and training for the playing of wheelchair sports.

To assist cadets in the North East of England from disadvantaged backgrounds wishing to undertake adventure, sporting and leadership activities which will help them develop their life skills, mature and reach their true potentials, so that they can become useful members of society.

To promote and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers of lupus in the North East of England through the provision of support, education and practical advice, as well as advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to lupus. Our objects are the advancement of, on promotion of community participation in, the amateur sport of athletics for the benefits of the inhabitants of Darlington and surrounding areas for the public benefit by the provision of facilities for participating in such sport, coaching in respect of such sport, and assistance with coaching and leadership qualifications, and support and assistance.

The Village Hall provides a centre for the Local Community where functions such as Luncheons,parties,and general entertainment take place.(The area basically comprise Denton,Summerhouse,and Killerby)In addition the Hall is available for hire for meetings and other functionsFor example Arts and Computor classes. We organise the activities of 1 paid Chaplain Team Leader and 21 Voluntary Chaplains who a) engage directly with people in places of work, b) work collaboratively with ministries in other sectors, with local churches and with other agencies. c) represent to those in authority, peoples' experience and perception of work, and raise questions with those who make decisions.
