IN ORDER TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF THE EVANGELICAL DENOMINATION IN THE CITIES OF NOTTINGHAM AND DERBY; AND TO RELIEVE POVERTY AMONG REFUGEES, ASYLUM SEEKERS WITHIN THESE REGIONS THE CHURCH ORGANISES FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES TO RAISE MONEY AND USES DIFFERENT FORMS OF DONATIONS SUCH AS TITHES. OFFERINGS TO MEET THESE OBJECTIVES.

To advance in life and help young people aged 30 and under resident in the geographical area of the East Midlands through the provision of grants of financial assistance to enable them to advance their education and develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.

To restore the Hippodrome Theatre, Derby, a Grade II listed building, such that it can make a major contribution to the cultural life of Derby.

Provision of recorded materials to persons with any visual or physical impairment

The Shaheed Bhagat Singh Welfare Centre continue to provide:Accomodation to community voluntry groups. Provides advise on welfare benefits, immigration issues, filling forms, writing letter, interpration, translations, sign post to ther relevant service providers, Advocacy service, activities to raise awareness on health and education related issues. to Cebtrate festivals.Training courses.

We distribute literature, audio, video tapes, DVD's, CD's and bi-monthly magazine at non-profitable basis to raise scientific awareness in Asian communities. We organise public functions led by mental & physical health professionals to raise awareness about mental & physical health issues. We take part in discussions on radio, TV and social media on issues like dowry system, female foetuscide etc.

We sing opera, operettas and other light classical music to the general public.

We hold around 9 free public events a year:- Talks, recitals, visits to see, hear, study & play (mostly church) organs locally, one visit to a distant major venue (fare charged). We work with schools to interest children in organs/music. We recruit members to support our work, we're affiliated to the national body, the I.A.O., which runs U.K. events & offers bursaries (www.iao.org.uk).

MAKES ANNUAL PAYMENTS TO THE POOR AND NEEDY IN THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISHES OF ST PETER'S LITTLEOVER AND BLAGREAVES IN THE CITY OF DERBY

Rooms for meetings, scout & guide shops.

Monthly meetings with refreshments and speaker, and some outings for the benefit of the members

Helping people resident in the parishes of Dalbury, Mackworth, Markeaton, Mercaston, Mickleover and Radbourne under the age of 25 in need of financial assistance in preparation for and during employment, with the secondary purposes of assisting residents in those parishes of any age who are in need.

- To provide, promote and protect activities which will meet the social, recreational, educational, personal and spiritual needs of deaf and hard of hearing people in Derby and the surrounding area.- To help hearing people understand and communicate with deaf people.

To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spirital potentials, as individuals, responsible citizens and members of their communities.This is achieved through the provision of Scouting activities.

In accordance with the terms of the Trust grants are made to C of E clergy within 10 Miles of St Peters Church Nottingham at the Trustee discretion to augment their living costs . The Trustee is satisfied that the purposes remain charitable. The Trustee have complied with the duty in Section 4 of the Charity Act 06 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Comm.

Community Centre Activities

Little Wonders charity exists to hep relieve poverty for families in Derby by providing clothing and other essentials such as nappies.

Fundraising for Infant School and Local Community.

Donations given to local registered charities.

Eleven monthly meetings, usually with a speaker, are held during the year. Special interest groups are organised & outings & lunches arranged. Members are also involved in voluntary work in the community. We also participate in the wider activities of the WI Federation regionally & nationally.

Raising money for St Werburghs School by organising events.

For the public benefit and the advancement of environmental improvement, including but not limited to themitigation of climate change and urban overheating and the improvement of air and water qualityand biodiversity by the planting of trees and other plants and the provision of associated infrastructurewithin Derby City and the surrounding area.

Advancing education of the public in the field of the history of photography generally, and in particular in Derby and the surrounding area. Presenting lectures and disseminating knowledge through public meetings and publications. Providing volunteer,financial, curatorial and conservation support for the W W Winter Collection Trust and its collection, developing it and making it accessible.
