Provision of Almshouse accommodation to the elderly of Derby

The charity provides accommodation for elderly people with a low income within the Borough of Derby.

The charity's objects ('objects') are specifically restricted to the following:1. To advance the Christian faith2. To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good healthby the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind3. To advance education in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees from time to time may think fit.

THE TRUST PROVIDES AND MAINTAINS GOSPEL HALLS FOR THE RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES OF CHRISTIANS OFTEN REFERRED TO AS 'BRETHREN'. MEETINGS HELD AT THESE GOSPEL HALLS INCLUDE THE LORD'S SUPPER (COMMUNION), GOSPEL PREACHINGS, BIBLE READINGS AND BIBLE ADDRESSES.

Our charity supports the provision of religious services for the Romanian Community (and anyone interested) in the East Midlands. Promoting the Christian values of charity, and respect for everyone, ROCNE will support families in need, organize educational events for children and adults, help the community to develop and help its members to integrate harmoniously within the British society.

We are a place of worship, we have three services per week, prayer, bible studies and Act of worship. We provide counselling and help with job hunting. Family support for with food, schools issues etc.

We help and support anyone with an asbestos related disease. We support people throughout the East Midlands as well as Burton on Trent and Peterborough. We offer advice and support with welfare benefits uptake including the Government Compensation Schemes. We offer advice about making a civil claim. As well as acting as a support group. We also offer bereavement support.

A support group and independent voice for parents/carers of children with a disability/additional needs in Nottingham and surrounding areas linked to the National Network P/C Forums. Run by parents for parents. Providing peer support, play sessions, empowerment training, healthy exercise sessions, signposting to services and support.

Church providing regular Christian worship which is open to all. Regular activities for those who have not been to church before, including students. Teaching of the Christian faith through Sunday services and other meetings in large and small groups, including Sunday clubs and creche for children. Support of Christian mission in the UK and overseas.

To prevent and relieve hardship and distress amongst persons who are (or who have been) homeless; living in adverse housing conditions; unemployed; and/or experiencing social exclusion and to provide to such persons support appropriate to their needs.

The Parochial Church Council has the responsibility of "co-operating with the incumbent in promoting in the parish the whole mission of the church - pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical".

Family Support Derbyshire provides volunteer support to families with babies & young children who are experiencing difficulties, in the family's own home.

As at 31 March 2023 the school had a total of 78(2022- 64) students varying in age from 5 to 18 and including some English based children. Total of twelve classes are held each Saturday consisting of Japanese and Mathematics lessons. All pupils successfully completed internal examinations and attendance was maintained at over 80%. Hold extra time lessons such as history, science and GCSE.

The principal purpose of the Church is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist denomination.The Church may also advance education and carry out other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and/or other parts of the world.

Turning Wheel Buddhist Temple is a Soto Zen temple in Leicester, East Midlands. Our tradition is based on the practice of serene reflection meditation (zazen).The temple offers a regular schedule of meditation, day retreats, festivals and other events, as well as individual guidance, for anyone who would like to learn about meditation or deepen and broaden their practice.

The objects are:1. To advance the Christian Religion mainly but not exclusively by provision of pastoral care through chaplaincy services for the public benefit in Derby City, Derbyshire & surrounding areas 2. To promote the physical, mental, spiritual well-being of inhabitants of Derby City, Derbyshire & surrounding areas by provision of advice & support as an expression of Christian faith

We aim to benefit disabled people by promoting services that facilitate independence in daily living and full integration into society with active participation.Our work involves a variety of projects, training and provision of information.

To create a sense of brotherhood, communal & social harmony, co-operation, love & affection amongst the general public at large through spiritual advancement for the attainment of national and global peace by way of Divine Knowledge (Brahm Gyan) which can bring about the inner transformation so vital for the seed of humanness to sprout from within. Meditation, Yoga, Music, Spirituality.

St. Peter's is an Anglican Church in the city centre of Derby. There are weekly gatherings for worship; the church hosts regular events and conferences; church members provide support to the local community in many ways, including those in debt, refugees and asylum seekers, ex-offenders, the homeless.

We tackle inequalities in disadvantaged communities,helping them to become more inclusive.We promote engagement and inclusion through fitness,1:1 work,volunteering, mentoring, education, training and events,increasing confidence, wellbeing, life-skills and employability and encouraging community-cohesion.We adapt to complex individual needs,including mental-health issues and learning difficulties.

Pre school activity and learning.

The object of the CIO is to advance the education of children, adults and families by helping those experiencing difficulties in acquiring literacy skills. We aim to support children and adults to develop a genuine interest and love of reading for pleasure. We aim to develop and promote speech, language, communication, confidence, self esteem, literacy and strategies for learning in the home.
