CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE VILLAGE HALL TO KEEP AVAILABLE FOR THE VILLAGE COMMUNITY.

The Woodlands Village Hall provides a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Marchington Woodlands and the adjascent villages and hamlets. The hall is available for public and private events. It provides, with the exception of the village church, the sole community facility in the Parish of Marchington Woodlands.

Community education and learning

To provide a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the area of benefit. Usage to include meetings, lectures, classes or other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare. The area of benefit includes the Parish of Dalbury Lees and neighbouring Parishes of Trusley, Radbourne, Longford, Osleston and Thurveston.

Fund-raising to provide monies to the school to improve the educational and social experience of pupils and families of the school.

The charity has the responsibility of looking after the school house, buildings and land attached. To collect rents on the said buildings and land and ensure that they are used for the education of persons under the age of 25 resident in Ticknall and Calke with a preference to primary school children.

WE RAISE MONEY BY ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SUMMER/CHRISTMAS FAYRES, CAKE SALES ETC, THE MONEY RAISED CAN PROVIDE EQUIPMENT/RESOURCES FOR ST ELIZABETH'S R C PRIMARY SCHOOL, MATLOCK ROAD (BELPER). WE ARE A PTA FOR ST.ELIZABETH'S PRIMARY SCHOOL IN BELPER.

To promote and educate the public in the musical arts with particular reference to music as presented by brass bands, by means of concerts and other related activities.To advance the musical education of people resident in the Glossop and surrounding area by providing them with suitable opportunities to learn to play brass band instruments.

The object of the Opera Group is to educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts and to further the development of the public appreciation and taste in the said arts, to assist and further such charitable institutions and charitable purposes as the committee from time to time shall determine.

Release is a money education charity and home of Budget Buddies. Providing money education (financial capability) training, guidance & information to educate & equip people with the crucial life skill of managing their finances & making informed choices. Including practical help with budgeting & related support. Budget Buddies is a mentoring scheme supporting people manage their finances. .

Amateur Dramatic Society

The CDCT provides support to University students of Graphic Design (BA or MA), across the East Midlands {De Montfort University, Loughborough University, NottinghamTrent University, University of Derby, University of Lincoln, University of Northampton}.

Using the Lymefield Outdoor Learning Centre to deliver educational activities to residents of Tameside and Derbyshire

Current activities are to provide lip reading classes and to help in projects that promote the general improvement of lip reading. The charity has also helped in th etraining of a new lip reading tutor.

The object of the charity is to relieve the suffering of cats that are in need of care and attention, in particular those who are elderly, infirm, chronically and terminally ill and to provide facilities for their reception and care.

The promotion and advancement of the aesthetic education of the public, the cultivation, appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts, and the giving of aid to the preservation of our national artistic heritage for the benefit of the public.

The charity works to raise funds to provide the school with extra equipment and resources. This is done through a series of social/ fundraising events over the year.

Our main roles are to give grants in support of, or to initiate, activities that contribute to our object of commending the Gospel of Jesus Christ to persons resident in the neighbourhood of Matlock Bath.
