BDL provides opportunities for participation in the performance of drama to the community of the High Peak area. Participants can acquire new skills and develop their potential as performers, or in technical and 'back room' skills. The charity serves the communities within Derby extending to Derbyshire and surrounding towns and cities through faith based activities. Providing religious education and general well being support to people of all ages, social groups and ethnicity. Other activities include prayer networks, senior citizens coffee mornings, bible studies. Baby blessings, wedding blessings and funerals.

To provide practical help and advice to anyone who is about to have a surgical procedure which will result in an ileostomy or internal pouch. To keep members of the charity and other interested groups aware of topics of interest by means of periodic publications and local meetings.

The objects of the club is the relief of people with a learning disability by providing help and support for them and their families, dependents and carers, and to provide or assist in the provision of facilities for the recreation of other leisure time occupation for people who have need thereof by reason of learning disability with the object of improving their conditions of life.

This was another quiet operating year. Some income was generated for the core purpose of providing access to high quality outdoor education. The main income was a transfer of funds from a pre-existing similar body.

Meets one afternoon per week (Tuesday) for social gathering. Organises several outings during the year.
