GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES

Singing and performing concerts. Running courses and workshops.

PROVIDING SUPPORT SERVICES, PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES TO ALLOW PEOPLE WITH PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH PROBLEMS TO LIFE LIFE TO THE FULL.

The choir travel to various concert venues, singing to raise money for charities such as Leukaemia & Cancer Research, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance to name but a few. Travel and other costs are taken from funds that are raised by holding coffee mornings and raffles. The choir website is now up and running thus enabling the public to find out more about the choir.

The trustees follow a general policy of distributing the trust's income whilst maintaining the substance of the trust's investments to enlarge its grant-giving potential.

General fund raising at meetings and Social Functions

The charity exists to promote the education of persons under the age of 25 who are in need of financial assistance and are resident in the parish; it also exists to promote the religious education of persons under the age of 25 who are resident in the parish. We receive applications from children, young people and their parents and decide whether to give grants and if so the amount.

Maintenance and promotion of Buckland Filleigh Village Hall.

The Society exists to preserve and enhance the area covered by the historic town of Dartmouth and the villages of Kingswear, Blackawton, Dittisham, Stoke Fleming and Strete, the River Dart and the neighbouring coastline and countryside.

Holds an Annual Agricultural Show

Educational and friendship activities.

The provision and maintenance of a recreation ground for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Kilmington.

Freehold Village hall for benefit of Mamhead Parish and surrounding area since before 1927. Social events, hall hire. Running cost fundraisers - skittles,talks,dinners,Whist,family parties,classes, exhibitions,walks,dances etc.Others as projects complete. Projects in hand for sustainability,accessibility and renovation of this historic building

WE OFFER YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 10-18 THE OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN QUALIFICATIONS IN WATERBORNE ACTIVITIES, CAMPING, FIRST AID AND MORE. OUR CADETS ARE FROM THE TEIGNBRIDGE AND SURROUNDING AREAS, SOME OF WHICH HAVE HIGH LEVELS OF DEPRIVATION. BY KEEPING YOUNG PEOPLE OCCUPIED AND OFF THE STREETS WE HELP AND ENCOURAGE THEM TOWARDS RESPONSIBLE ADULTHOOD.

Upkeep of church (St. Mary's Church, Black Torrington) property.

Monthly meetings. Twice monthly craft group. Drama Group. Choir. Catering for village activities. Theatre and cinema trips. Coach outings for shopping and to heritage properties.

Fundraising group for Bow Community Primary School to pay for equipment, resouces and educational trips for the children of the school.

The objects of North Devon Forum for ASC and ADHD, a not-for-profit organisation, are to offer informal support for the benefit of people (adults and Children) with ASC & ADHD or suspected traits of the condition living or working in the North Devon area and peer support for the parents, carers and wider families of these people through monthly coffee mornings, free swimming and occasional trips.

Provision of Hospital Radio services

The charity administers the property vested in it from Kenton Parish Lands Trust permanent endowment, to manage the property and income received, in order to provide grants to preserve and maintain All Saints church, Kenton's building.

For the preservation and continuance of the trust and that Kenton PrimarySchool, Mamhead Road, Kenton, Exeter, EX6 8LX (Freehold), with theappurtenances may from henceforth be employed to and for the benefit andadvantage of the parishioners of the said parish of Kenton towards themaintenance and reparations of the parish church there and to and for noother intent or purpose whatsoever.

The Sheldon Singers is a medium-sized chamber choir, based in Honiton, Devon. The choir is open to singers of all ages, genders and ethnic groups. Grants and sponsorship are offered to promising young persons. The choir gives two main concerts each year, in the spring and at Christmas. The free summer concerts raise money for community projects.
