St Peter's Parochial Church Council is responsible for the running and maintainance of St.Peter's Church Tiverton for the benefit of the congregation and wider community.

Currently, the Devonshire Association (DA) has 6 Branches and 8 specialist Sections across the county that organise over 100 lectures, field trips and visits annually with a view to understanding everything associated with the county of Devon. The DA publishes two newsletters and The Report and Transactions of The DA. Its website contains much information on these subjects, available to all.

The charity exists with the purpose of furthering education, according to the doctrine of the Church of England, of children and young persons by the provision of a school or otherwise. Also, for the promotion of religious and other charitable work of the Church of England whether in England or elsewhere.

Promoting activities which further the vision of Christ Church Exmouth which is "living and sharing God's amazing love". The church is run by its members and seeks to add value to the local community and beyond by outworking the Christian Faith in diverse ways. The work includes children and youth activities, weekly Life Groups, prayer meetings, pastoral support, and Sunday Services.

The role of the Governors is now principally the upkeep and the maintenance of Holy Cross Church, Crediton and the churchyard; the Chancel at St Martins Church, Exminster; the upkeep of St Lawrence Chapel, Crediton and some responsibility for St Boniface Church, Knowle, Crediton.

Relief of the poor and the support of ancient and historical buildings in the Parish of Dartmouth and particularly within the Parish of St Petrox, Dartmouth.

SIFT is a Christian charity committed to helping the poor of Nicaragua, Central America. Nicaragua is the second poorest nation in Latin America. We are helping the poor of Nicaragua to find their own way out of poverty through projects in health, education and housing.

Scouting in the District continued with most groups. This was mainly on zoom although when it was possible, face2face Scouting did take place. The District was able to take advantage of the covid grants from Plymouth City Council. Hopefully Scouting will be able to return to normal during the forthcoming year.

A Summary of the main activities include; Developing and running activities, events, programmes and coaching sessions that have been available to hard to reach group such as: disengaged pupils at local secondary schools, deprived areas, young people with learning disabilities and inactive groups.

The principle activity is that of the advancement of the Christian faith and the extension of the Kingdom of God

Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team (Tavistock) provide search & rescue services for the Police and Ambulance services for Dartmoor and the surrounding rural area. The team searches for and recovers missing persons of all ages and circumstances, such as youth groups, the elderly, despondents and those with dementia, and provides first aid and rescue cover for Ten Tors and similar events.

The relief of poverty and sickness (whether physical or mental), the advancement of education for public benefit and the preservation and protection of good health.

Childcare for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years. The children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and learn lots from fun learning/games sessions, colouring, interesting trips. Visitors are encouraged, to widen all the childrens experiences.

Moorland Community Care Group seeks to provide companionship and support to those living within the localities of Bovey Tracey, Ashburton and Buckfastleigh, who are vulnerable because of problems such as age, social isolation and infirmity. The support includes tasks such shopping, dog-walking, collecting prescriptions, taking clients on outings, etc.

We provide a place of worship, regular meditation classes and retreats. Provide and follow the 3 study programmes of the NKT. School visits. Opportunities for volunteers.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

Operates a heritage railway between Buckfastleigh and Totnes (Riverside) in the manner of the former Great Western Railway and British Railways Western Region with reference to a period ending in the mid nineteen sixties.

The charity relies on donations in order to carry out its main objective, which is to provide a lifeboat for the protection of the general public. The charity also carries out fundraising events and sells clothing in order to raise additional funds.

Independent Evangelical Church being a member of the South West Baptist Association serving Silverton and the surrounding area

The Charity's object and it's principal activity continues to be that of the promotion of any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the United Kingdom by the advancement of education, the protection of health and relief of poverty, sickness and distress.

The monies received are used to maintain the fabric of buildings and establishments in Dartmouth currently owned by the Town Council.

The main aim is to promote sailing, making it accessible to all. Students follow the RYA syllabus to gain certification. Bursaries available for local students upon application. First Aid, Power Boat & Safety Boat courses held. Several local young students progress through the Sea School to become RYA qualified Instructors going on to train others.
