To establish and run a village hall to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Lympstone and its immediate vicinity the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.

ELM Wildlife rescue and rehabilitates British wildlife, primarily hedgehogs but we do take other wildlife when space allows; we medicate and house all casualties. Our capacity at the moment is 220 animals, we are supported by a team of over 100 volunteers and we are open 365 days a year. We maintain a ministry of 'helps' for the entire Christian community and for the wider population by:1 The availability of literature through the Christian Bookshop in Launceston 2 The availability of help through prayer,ministry,outreach and counselling3 Discretionary grants for local people training or engaged in Christian work4 Encouraging people to find faith in our Lord Jesus Christ

THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A HOME FOR THE PURPOSE OF AFFORDING THE MEANS OF PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL HELP TO THOSE IN NEED OF REST.

The Charity maintains and lets the property known as Bow Village Hall, it is used on a regular basis by various organisations including Pre-School Playgroup, Parochial Church Council, Scouts, Short Mat Bowling, Local History Society, Bow Water Works Committee, Parish Council and various health & fitness classes.The building is also let to individuals for private functions & fund raising events.

The SGBA promotes community participation in healthy recreation in the area of the estuary of the River Dart, in particular by the provision of facilities, boats and instruction in the sports of sailing, kayaking, canoeing and rowing.

To advance the Sakyapa School of Buddhism in general and in particular the spiritual authority of Karma Thinley Rinpoche and Lama Jampa Thaye as masters of the Sakyapa School of Buddhism and heads of the Thinley Rinchen Ling Association of Sakyapa Centres and of any future incarnations of the heads as identified by the present or future head of the Drolma Phodrang of the Sakyapa School of Buddhism

The charity's main activity was the promotion and growth of the Dartmoor Archive, by the giving of financial support to Dartmoor organisations.

The charity considers grants to individuals living in the Southwest of England and organisations with projects in the Southwest of England for general charitable purposes but in particular the encouragement of local life through education, the arts and social sciences.

Community Centre

Clapham Film Unit provides training and equipment to enable people to tell their own stories on film. We keep an archive of the work created and organise screenings. We provide advice about fund raising, employment and further study in the media industry. We provide a network of filmmakers and a mentor system.

Provide housing for the people residing in the Parish of Great Torrington

We are a pre-school running 7 sessions per week from Monday to Friday for children aged 2-5 years, term time only. We have a learning through play structure, with painting, play dough, physical play, drawing plus much more. Fully qualified staff run the sessions.

We are based in the Lower Deck Cafe, Tavistock to provide emergency food parcels to individuals and families in the local area who are experiencing financial hardship. We are open on Fridays between 10am and 2pm. Emergency parcels can be arranged during the week if required. In addition food and drinks are available from the cafe and information about a range of other services is provided.

The Lions Club of Tavistock organises fund raising activities for and on behalf of the local community of Tavistock and surrounding area. Events include the Town Carnival, a firework display and the Christmas Trees of Light. The club also helps the local town council with a park and ride scheme for Goose Fair and provides marshals for other events in the town.

The trustees follow a general policy of distributing the trust's income whilst maintaining the substance of the trust's investments to enlarge its grant-giving potential.
