The core purpose of the group is to benefit the health and well-being of people with disabilities in East Devon through the delivery of effective and life enhancing therapy, the opportunity to learn new skills and achieve personal goals and ambitions. Running 4 sections of the 1st Buckland and Horrabridge Scout Group - Squirrles, Beavers,Cubs and Scouts.This includes regular meetings for all sections, camps and trips and fundraising events during year.We have our own field in Horrabridge, with an equipment store, built with the help of the local community and our members.

The charity oversees the renovation, maintenance, display and operation of items in its collection at several heritage railways and centres. It raises funds for this purpose through donations, grants, steaming fees and other means. It further researches the history of items in its collection and makes this information available on its web site and other media channels.

Tipton St John Community Hall is used extensively by a variety of organizations in the village and the surrounding area, including the adjacent Primary School. Hallmark level 3 (the top quality standard) was achieved in August 2015.The trustees are committed to fairness and transparency in all dealings relating to the hire of the facilities.

The purpose of Home-Start Teignbridge is:1) To safeguard, protect and preserve the good health, both mental and physical of children and their parents2) To prevent cruelty to or maltreatment of children3) To relieve sickness, poverty and need amongst children and parents of children4) To promote the education of the public in better standards of child care within the area of Teignbridge.

For the transfer of blood, blood products and breast milk for premature or very ill babies, people and other medical resources between donors, hospitals and medical facilities.

The charity distributes small sums of money to cases of individual hardship or need - BUT only to cases known to the trustees or through organisations known to the trustees. Unsolicited requests will not be supported or responded to. All grants are dealt with by written communication with any trustee.The charity also owns a small parcel of land managed for biodiversity.
