Choral Society

We are continuing to upgrade and modernise the hall for the larger number of people that now use the hall. The Hall is used daily by many different groups and has a great deal of ad hoc bookings for birthday parties etc.

Heritage Museum

Parent Teacher Fund-raising and Support Group for South Dartmoor Community College: we raise funds and provide support to enhance the school experience for all of the school's students.

Scouting activities e.g. Camping, badge work etc

Provision of workshops and accessible performances.

Raising money to purchase a derelict village toilet and rebuild it into a health and well being centre for Silverton and its surrounding area. The main aim of this will be to provide care for dementia sufferers and their carers. In addition we intend to provide specialist treatments such as Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Chiropody and Stroke Therapy.

The Charity has been set up to enrich the lives of young people in the local area who have hearing difficulties. Applications are considered by a committee

To promote the benefit of the people of the parish of Kingsnympton by associating together these people and other organisations to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare and recreation.

Activities include Art & Craft, Speakers on various subjects, Walk & Chats and many other activities all chosen by the members themselves.

Enabling worship at our church by as many people as possible. We provide 2 services of open Christian worship per month and additional services at various other times of the year. We also participate in the activities of the associated mission community parishes and organise a number of social and fundraising activities during the year, all open to the wider village community.

Religious and other charitable work in the parish of Central Exeter and specifically of St Olaves Church.

Restore, preserve & maintain St Lawrence Chapel and Heritage Centre in Ashburton, for the benefit of the public.

Performance of lesser-known early choral and instrumental music

Hire of the Town Hall Building to various local organisations - i.e. Youth groups, Drama group, W.I.,Toddlers group, Ballet, School Coffee Mornings, Pre-School, Town Council, Various Exercise groups, etc.

Provide transport to medical appointments.Provide transport and assistance with shopping.Provide transport and assistance to lunch clubs.Social drop in club for carers and ex carers.Carers support service / befriending.Memory cafe.

Majorette troupe with pom poms, batons and band performing at a variety of events. Members aged from 4 years and over.

A worldwide association of local clubs for men and women in business or the professions who provide humanitarian service to the community at local, national and international level encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and work for goodwill and peace in the world.

Christmas Carol float collections and other fund raising for local causes and causes refeerred to the membership for consideration of support.
