We promote of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Buckfastleigh and the surrounding area by the provision of facilities for playing lawn bowls.

The day to day running of a heritage centre (normally open to the public four days a week from around Easter until the end of October). This includes an exhibition area and research facilities.

Providing facilities for a rural community, visiting post office twice weekly, doctor's surgery, keep fit, bowling, badminton, amateur dramatics, and for private use for parties, wedding receptions and other use for local organisations such as the church for jumble sales and whist and euchre drives.

To promote the benefit of the people of the parish of Kingsnympton by associating together these people and other organisations to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare and recreation.

The objective of the Committee is to manage and maintain the Court Room and Playing Field for the purposes of a Village Hall and sport/leisure facility (without distinction of political religious or other opinions) for the benefit of the parishioners of Staverton.
