D.O.S. is a community based orchestra open to orchestral players of all ages who wish to improve their musical skills.Rehearsals take place on a weekly basis, and the orchestra normally performs three public concerts per year,two of which would be in aid of a local charities when funds permit.

To provide recreational and other leisure time activities for children and other inhabitants of Pennsylvania, Exeter, and its immediate surroundings, in the interests of social welfare. Also to advance the education of children below compulsory school age, by providing or assisting in the provision of facilities for group play, in which parents can participate when appropriate.

We are a uniformed youth group for girls aged 9-21 years. We offer all forms of Nautical Activities, including boating, rowing, canoeing, swimming and occasional sailing in the summer. Badge work, water safety, 1st Aid and knot work etc. in the winter. The girls have lots of fun and adventure on and off the water, learn to work together as a team and make new friends.

Provide Girlguiding activities for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and Young Leaders in Tavy Division.

Operates and runs the Village Hall to provide a venue for local community activities. Fund raising to maintain and improve the building.

To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of children and young people in Parkham, Devon who have need of such facilities with the object of improving their conditions of life.

The Association provides outings, parties, clubs and teaching, including British Sign Language and Deaf Awareness. It continues to educate the public in deaf issues, working closely with Social Services, LEA Health & Audiology departments.The committee organises various fundraising events to support these activities for its members.

The object of the League shall be to relieve patients and former patients of the hospital (known as the Wellbeing Centre), and other persons in the community who are sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm and generally to support the work of the hospital and the health and wellbeing of the wider community (residents of Ashburton, Buckfastleigh and their immediate locality)

A four-part choir of about 35 members, based in Kingsbridge, who perform concerts of mainly classical music in South Devon.

Carry out fundraising events, foster good relationship between parent/student and staff/the community, engage in activities in support of Kingsbridge Community College.

Provide bursaries for choristers at Exeter cathedral school.

THE PROVISION OF POSITIVE ACTIVITIES FOR RURAL YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 10 TO 28

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. The East Devon Scout District supports Explorer Scout Units and the Scout Groups across East Devon to encourage the young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, we support our members by providing the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

Provide a museum to educate and inform the public of Tavistock and direct and display, store and conserve artefacts, photographs and documents pertaining to its heritage.

Fundraising for items for patients comfort for Redlands Primary care

Each year we organise two 10km runs, with all profits going to local charities. Each race attracts around 300 entries. The first race is held on the first weekend of January and the second is during March. At Christmas, we travel the streets of northern Plymouth on a Christmas Float, collecting charitable donations from the public. We also collect adhoc funds during the year.

St Luke's Proprietary Chapel has regular services & special festivals at Christmas, Easter & Harvest.Licensed for Christenings, Marriages & Burials.Fund raising events benefit at least 1 local charity & we seek to include the wider community.The Grade II listed building, of local volcanic stone & of some historic interest is well maintained & the grounds offer a quiet space for visitors.
