We provide a low cost (rental) community centre for use by various groups ie. dance class all ages, table tennis practice and matches, keep fit over sixties, art class all ages, social events & training courses.

The objects of the society shall be to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public events

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY OF THE ORGANISATION IS TO PROVIDE HARD TO REACH COMMUNITIES WITH ADVICE, INFORMATION RESOURCES, GUIDANCE & PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO IMPROVE THEIR HEALTH, KNOWLEDGE & WELFARE, EDUCATION AND LIVING STANDARDS. THE CHARITY IS ALSO AT THE FOREFRONT OF PROMOTING HUMANISM WITH ITS FAITH ALEVISM.

Raising & dispersing funds for individuals in need, associations & local sports Clubs. Annually we have a Christmas Santa Sleigh which tours the local area to raise funds. We also hold Easter egg raffles.

The Yorkshire Rewilding Network aims to bring together anyone in the region who has an interest in rewilding - to inspire one-another, share knowledge and experience, and work towards a brighter, more sustainable future for all inhabitants. We believe in a nature-first approach to land care and management.

Raising funds, by running events to aid the children of the school

Support and encourage local clubs, fund raise to subsidise local events and maintain the village hall, organise local events.

We act as a support group to Sheffield Music Hub, providing practical and financial assistance aimed at increasing and improving opportunities for young people in and around Sheffield to learn music and participate in ensembles. This includes provision of bursaries, purchase of music, help with publicity and general support for all the Hub's activities.

The charity awards scholarships tenable at a university or other education establishment in the UK to a) Kindred of William Akroyd who died in or about 1518 and b) Persons who have attended secondary school in the County of York. It also makes grants to Batley Grammar School Foundation and the Council of the University of Leeds.

Provide a place for musicians to come and play. Provide concerts to raise money to contine the progress of the band and also help raise funds for other other organisations/charities

The Charity provides a full library service to the people of Bawtry and surrounding area. Other services include book shop, photocopying, computers, printing and fax.

Optim helps a Doncaster Baptist church with the needy and homeless. As a member of Community Chaplaincy Association we work with M25, supporting ex-offenders, and the Doncaster Christian community work for the night-time economy, which has grown over the past year, as well as Full Gospel Business Men, Baptist Mens Movement, UCB, HTB ex-offenders and Kairos.

We supply sporting and leisure activities for children and adults with severe learning difficulties, providing valuable respite for carers. Our activities are swimming youth club boccia curling & football. Support meeting for carers plus outings.

The Society studies and reports on the archaeology, history and architecture of South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. A series of lectures is held. Visits are made to sites of interest. Members give lectures to other groups and attend at open days and similar events. Transactions are published usually every two years and contain articles or local and wider interest.

Barnsley Brass is a traditional British brass band with a mining heritage based in Worsbrough Bridge near Barnsley. We operate predominantly in the Yorkshire area.We hold rehearsals twice a week, perform concerts and participate in competitions. All performances offer the general public the chance to advance their education in, and appreciation of, the art of music.

Raffles, bingo & beetle drives for children. Christmas fayre evening with stalls and events. Fun day-sporting events & stalls. Disco's for children. Recycle clothes for cash.

Provision of a community resource centre in the form of a Village Hall, and the voluntary committee to manage and control the day to day activities.

Scouting Group, we have upto 60 children in our 3 groups. We hold meetings weekly on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. These meetings are held in Scawthorpe Doncaster

THE CENTRE IS MAINLY USED BY PENSIONER GROUPS FOR WEEKLY OR MONTHLY ACTIVITIES.
