Project Food believes that everybody should be able to eat a nutritious diet irrespective of their income, so that they can enjoy better physical and mental health. We help people to develop the skills and confidence they need to prepare nutritious food for the future. We focus on resilience, supporting people to develop ways to eat that fit in to their lives and support their health.

The charity achieves its objectives of advancing the education of school children in the subjects of farming, food production, biodiversity, the rural economy and the study of the environment and ecology, by undertaking a prograqmme of visists to schools by farmers and reciprocal visits by school children to working farms.

Pre School Education

The provision of financial help directly or indirectly to residents of Christchurch, Dorset generally and sometimes individually (a) to alleviate suffering or assist recovery of the sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm provided such help is not readily available from another source, or (b) to reduce need hardship or distress.

St James' Cottage Nursery & Out of School Club is situated in the village of Gaunts Common, for children from the age of 2 years up to 11years old. We support local families by providing high-quality affordable childcare during term time and 2 weeks of the year for holiday club. We fundraise throughout the year by holding special events to help keep the costs down.

To enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in the Beaminster area. This is achieved by the provision of a preschool within the premises of St Mary's Academy. The group is run by staff trained to a high standard and receives support from the Local Authority.

Furtherance of the religious and charitable purposes of the Religious Society of Friends primarily in Dorset and South Wiltshire

To promote general charitable purposes for the benefit of the community of Lyme Regis and surrounding area. To provide relief from poverty and disadvantage and to advance education of its residents of all agea, and in particular, to provide opportunities for the residents to participate fully in the life of the community in ways which address and alleviate social and economic depravation.

THE ADVANCEMENT OF MUSIC EDUCATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN THE DORSET/HAMPSHIRE AREA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF DISADVANTAGED PERSONS AND IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF: (I) MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS; (II) TUITION OR INSTRUCTION.

To act as a Foodbank in Weymouth and surrounding area based on Christian principles by:-a) Providing emergency food to individuals and families in need and/or for distribution by charities and other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty or financial hardship.b) Such other means, including the provision of support or signposting to relevant information and other advisory services.

The charity operates in the RC Diocese of Plymouth & in accordance with its core values of love, justice & forgiveness it*supports families by providing a free parenting programme*makes grants to children and families in dire need*encourages children to think about the needs of others less fortunate

To supplement the service given by Bridport Hospital for patients and staff by the provision of facilities and equipment which fall outside NHS funding priorities. To raise funds and receive gifts, donations and legacies. To recruit voluntary workers for the coffee shop and trolley service to the wards.

Activities to support the student experience such as social and sporting events, academic enhancement and student advocacy.

To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Mudeford Wood, Christchurch, Dorset ( and the surrounding area) the provision of facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship, social or economic circumstances or, for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and, with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.

Provision and maintenance of gospel halls for religious activities of Christians known as 'Brethren'. Meetings held at gospel halls include the Lord's Supper (Communion), Gospel preachings, Bible readings and Bible addresses. A number of preachers spread the Christian gospel, in word and deed, on the streets and in the halls. Food and gospel literature is donated for homeless and needy persons.

Religious Activities

Sturfit provides leisure facilities to foster the health and well-being of the people of Sturminster Newton and the surrounding area. Sturminster Newton Lesiure Centre is accessible to all members of this community and wide participation is encouraged. The Centre offers a range of exercise classes, fully equipped gym and is host to many sporting clubs and societies. It is staffed by volunteers.

FUND RAISING FOR LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL CAUSES.LOCAL ASSISTANCE AS REQUESTED AND FEASIBLE.

We are based on the Island of Portland and we offer Sports activities, accommodation for young people, educational courses and community events.

The advancement of the Christian Faith through our Sunday services, Connect Groups and outreach opportunities. Our children's church work has grown. We support missions by regularly giving each month to their work. We run a weekly Bible study group . Our discipleship course that we are working through as a church is on being emotionally and spiritually healthy.

Maintain and operate a Railway Centre at Yeovil Junction including facilities to assist with running main line steam trains. Public open days using resident steam engine arranged and designed to educate. Visitor Centre developed in an 1864 built Transfer Shed. Activities continue to improve and extend our work.
