To assist the Parochial Church Council to raise funds to pay for the restoration and maintenance of St Marys Church and to preserve and protect it as a place of Christian worship.

The charity's objects are limited to the financial support of St Giles' Church and graveyards.

Provision of 1. Spiritual direction to members. 2. Spiritual, physical and emotional support for young people. 3. Support to the vulnerable and marginalised through Alabare Christian Care Centres. 4. Regular prayer gatherings. 5. Organised retreats. 6. A Christian meeting place for women.

Provision of facilities for young peopleThe aim of the club is to help and educate young people through their leisure-time activities so to develp their physical, mental and spritual capacites so that they may mature and prosper as individuals and as members of society.To provide a fun safe place for young people to enjoy and acheive and be healthy.

i) The relief of poverty by promoting tree planting and effective tree management internationally as means of combating land erosion and degradation, rural poverty and ecological and environmental deterioration, andii) The advancement of education in the importance of the role of forestry and in tree planting and tree management

The charity's activities are chanelled towards supporting its aim: 'To enhance the quality of life for local children and their families undergoing treatment for cancer'. We raise money, receive donations (which we gift aid). The money is spent eg. a weekend at Center Parcs for the children, siblings and parents. Families are often pauperised when a child is ill - we pay bills.

Hospital Radio Bedside is an Ofcom-licensed community radio station, broadcasting under the name of Dorset Coast Radio. It provides accessible, inclusive and responsive radio broadcasting services to entertain the local community in and around Dorset. They provide content to inform, educate, and empower individuals and communities on matters relating to their health and well-being.

Broadcasting to 5 local hospitals

Advancing, improving, developing and maintaining public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals.

The PTFA organises fundraising events for the school that are fun for the pupils, parents and help make links with the local community. The main fundraiser is a fell run which attracts people from across the country combined with a fun run and fair. In addition there are disco's, bingo evenings and other events. Money raised funds school equipment or projects the school couldn't otherwise afford.

We fundraise through Christmas and Summer fairs and other smaller fundraising events thoughout the academic year to provide specific equipment and support alongside the teaching staff for extra curricular activities to maintain excellent school realtionships with all involved in the school, children and all adults alike.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Herston and the neighbourhood thereof without distinction of political, religious or other opinions including use for meetings lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

We support the pupils at BCS Prep School with funding for projects and activities outside the curriculum and we also support various local charities.

We try to make life a little more bearable for those on the streets.As well as providing hot nutritious meals we offer clothing, hygiene essentials, a laundry service and a wash & swap service for sleeping bags.We also help, support and signpost to other agencies and organisations for continued support in specific areas of need.

Support those who are adjusting to a Parkinsons diagnosis, and those persons indirectly affected by a Parkinsons diagnosis through awareness and support events, promote the importance of keeping active through events which everyone can partake in. Support those affected to remain in work and living the best life possible by promoting a positive mindset.

We provide services to our members to enable them to understand and enjoy the decorative and fine arts. Monthly lectures are held from October to July in Stalbridge, Dorset, and we arrange visits and Study Days. We also support arts initiatives in local schools. We record contents and artefacts in churches in our area and we provide church records. We are affiliated to the national body NADFAS.

Scouting

Collects, catalogues and describes items of memorabilia that are put in boxes of about 10 items. Memory Boxes are distributed on loan to Nursing Homes, Care Homes, Day Centres and Hospitals for use in Reminiscence Therapy for the elderly and those with memory loss. We operate throughout Dorset and slightly venture into East Devon, South Somerset and Wiltshire. We offer talks.

Fundraising through events held at the school which include Fayres, cake sales, bingo night, treasure hunts and discos.

The School Association raises money to enhance the learning experience of pupils at St Mary's, Puddletown. Money raised is used to to fund equipment, resources and experiences for the students and to subsidise school trips to reduce the cost for our families. We raise money by holding social events for the students and families and run larger community events such as the Puddletown Plod.

The main core of our activity as a church is providing weekly church services for all the community regardless of background, gender and belief. We also provide community events and initiatives for the benefit of the local community in and around Sturminster Newton.

The Quangle Wangle Choir rehearse and perform in the Weymouth and Dorchester area and sometimes further afield. New members are welcomed each January without auditions.From time to time the choir collaborates with other groups such as schools, day centres, other choirs in special projects.
