Hedgehog Friendly Portland raises awareness of hedgehogs and how we can help them survive and thrive, and rescues sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs and rehabilitates them for release back to the wild.

The objects of the Society are the preservation, repair and maintenance of the fabric and curtilage of the Parish Church of S. Nicholas and the Village Hall in the Parish of Silton, Dorset, its organ and bells, and providing such furnishings furniture fittings and structures both interior, exterior and in the curtilage as may be considered appropriate by the Committee of the Society

We provide a service, including various activities and use of Village Hall for the residents of Langton Matravers. We have also built up a small library where refreshments are served, it is open twice a month for two hours.

Administration of Village Hall

We are a club for disabled people in the BH20 & BH16 postal areas. We have regular monthly meetings and use our adapted minibus to take all members out at least once per month. We also use our transport for hospital appointments and visits and provide our transport with volunteer driver for use by many other clubs and charities in the area.

Fund raising for the Priory CE VA Primary School, Christchurch, Dorset

We offer membership to the society, at an affordable cost in return for which we organise a series of lectures on an historical theme. Visitors may also attend lectures for a nominal donation. In addition we provide, maintain and manage a museum of local history, open all year, with free entry to the public. School visits and lectures to local organisations.

To manage the village hall for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of affpuddle and turners puddle in the county of Dorset without distinction of political religious or other opinions for use for meeting lectures recreation to improve the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Downright Perfect supports children and young people with Down's Syndrome and their families in Dorset. Our services include providing information to new parents, running regular groups for pre-schoolers, organising family events and offering financial grants to assist with the cost of accessing therapy services or resources.

Our Sunday service is arranged for all ages in a family friendly environment with bible teaching, prayer, Afro-Caribbean style of worship, hospitality and refreshments. Weekday bible study meetings are held in homes with prayer every Friday at Church. We have many projects, societies and clubs run by church members. The GRDP serves the community through delivering a range of services to people & groups who are disadvantaged whatever their faith or background. The charity works with beneficiaries to share how to live happily and healthily in mind, body & spirit. This includes the practice of Kundalini Yoga & meditation, the provision of holistic healthcare, developing an attitude of service towards others.
