We are an amateur symphony orchestra based in Poole, Dorset. We promote public education and the appreciation of music in all its aspects, and we currently achieve this through regular Monday rehearsals for player members. We foster the general public's appreciation of orchestral music through presentation of a varied repertoire at our concerts which are given at the end of each academic term.

Raising funds for general charitable purposes by means of charitable events and the provision of charitable services.

Maintains the Town Hall and Museum for the benefit of residents and visitors to Corfe Castle. The museum focuses on the heritage and economy of Purbeck in general and Corfe Castle village in particular.

To support local people in maintaining their independance within the community by sponsoring and monitoring a special lifeline telephone.

To advance the Christian Faith in accordance with the Street Pastor Licence Agreement with the Ascension Trust. To develop the capacity and skills of socially disadvantaged groups in our community in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society

Managing financial investments with the joint aims of maintaining/increasing their value in real terms, whilst generating a level of income appropriate to the forecasted needs of beneficiaries. Publicising the existence and purpose of the Trust; soliciting applications for assistance; making awards annually to qualifying individuals and organisations.

Our charity runs weekly swimming sessions for our members in Sherborne and Yeovil.In addition to the swimming, there is a strong social element to our charity. We have regular social evenings and fundraising events.

The Foundation's objective is the relief of sickness and the promotion of health in children and former members of the armed forces who are mentally or physically disabled. The ultimate goal is to build a unique property for providing or assisting in the provision of respite holidays at Habitat First Group sites.

Westbourne Orchestra is a symphony orchestra comprising 50-60 members performing at least 3 concerts each year, primarily in the Dorset area.

A variety of Fundraising events or Beaucroft School - yearly events include Christmas Fayre, BBQ and Bingo and some one off events in previous years including Golf Day, Fashion Show etc

We strive to keep the village hall in good repair and update appliances and redecorate and maintain accordingly. We hold fund-raising events at regular intervals in order to raise money to fund improvements to the hall. The hall is used by all sections of the village community on a regular basis.

Re-launched in the summer of 2023, the aim of the Cotton Tree Children's Trust is to support orphaned and abandoned street children in Sierra Leone. This is done through education and empowerment, so that when children and young adults come of age, they can lead independent lives with real hope for the future and make a positive contribution to society. Sponsors are eagerly sought.

The West Knighton Village Green Fund provide a children's play area on the village green for the benefit of the children of West Knighton and the surrounding area.

The Village Hall is used by many groups within Witchampton and the local school, it also holds regular social events .

We are a school PTA and we run events such as a Christmas Fair, Summer BBQ, Ladies Night, Auction of Promises, Coffee Mornings, Christmas Present Sale, Discos. This is a selection of fundraisers we do,some of the above we do each year and others we add every couple of years for a bit of variety. This raises funds for Ad Astra Infant School.

PROVIDES AND MAINTAINS VILLAGE HALL FOR COMMUNITY USE

For the Public Benefit to promote the education and training of organists in the South West of England, to promote the appreciation of the organ and its part in the musical repertoire to organists,those considering taking up the organ and to audiences, both by providing educational events and courses and by offering assistance and encouragement for liturgically or for secular entertainment

In 1993, 3 parish councillors set up The Trust. It bought land immediately next to the village hall. It is held in perpetuity as a quiet recreation area for the people of Buckhorn Weston of all ages. Later the district council sold the council houses. Some proceeds were used for one-off windfall grants. We built play, picnic and ballgame areas on this land (with additions, now about 1 1/2 acres).

Choral Society

We are a PTA organisation primarily focused on raising money to support the pupils of Semley School. We run a number of fundraising activities through out the year including cake sales, craft evenings, a Christmas shop and disco. In recent years we have successfully funded an outdoor classroom and new playground lines, as well as ongoing contributions towards the cost of school trips.
