Dorset and Poole Childminding Association is committed to putting the welfare of children at the centre of all our activities. We provide generic support for registered childminders and promote childminding as a childcare choice to the families of Dorset.We provide childminding events in partnership with the National Childminding Association.

Club held in Weymouth, weekly. A social evening for adults over 21 with learning disabilities.

Hold regular meetings for social and educational purposes

To assist disabled children and their carers through funding, or part-funding, the provision of specialist equipment not currently afforded by statutory authorities.To help provide funding for courses seminars and conferences for parents and carers.

Annual essay prize and support of relevant educational activities at local schools.

Grants available for relief of need in the ecclesiastical parish of Dorchester.

Organising village activities, such as whist drives, beetle drives, jumble sales, firework/bonfire displays, village flower and produce show for the benefit of local inhabitants. Making the hall available for local inhabitants' activities, including Parish Council.

Suport to museums services

Organising PTA fundraising events involving the school, children, families and the local community.

To advance horticulture & conservation education in particular but not exclusively by means of: videos; library; public literature; research; mentoring; publishing; websites; student placements; teaching; garden.2. Such charitable purposes for the public benefit as are exclusively charitable according to the laws of England & Wales as the trustees may from time to time determine

Issues vouchers and Grants to residents of Gillingham, Dorset.

The charity provides advice, education and information on astronomy to members of the society and members of the general public. This is primarily done through the holding of monthly meetings at which guest speakers talk about special subjects and members and visitors can discuss and learn about astronomy. The society also has an observatory which is available for use of members and the public.

To enable boys of the school and old boys under the age of 25 to apply for scholarships to pursue their education.

This year the charity has donated sums of money (ranging from approx £25 - £1500) to local individuals, organisations and schools to provide support for specific aims and objects. The funds were collected through various activities including a Christmas Carol float, Food Festival stall, Christmas festival stall and collecting at a local annual Jazz Festival.

Relief for members of the Showmen's Guild in need

The Trust issues financial awards to village organisations and charities via any surplus generated by the biennial Milton Abbas Street Fair.

Under the Banner of Rotary International and Rotary uk the club raises funds for both Local and International charities and deserving causes in the community. Whilst supporting the Rotary International themes such as Polio eradication there is also a strong emphasis on local causes, especially educational needs.

Hold fund-raising events in order to be able to finance the preservation of the church.

Fund raising for extra school equipment/activities. ~This includes classroom and sports equipment and play equipment, sports coaching and other activities deemed to be of value to the children.

The raising of charitable funds by donation from members, raffles, special events.

We raise money to enrich the school experience of our students through helping to fund school trips, visiting shows, and external educational visitors to the school. We also use our raised funds to purchase equipment and materials for the school to support learning and improve the school environment. We usually hold fayres, raffles, discos and other events which also bring our community together.

The charity exists to maintain, fundraise for and legaly account for the Rolt Millennium Green in St James, Shaftesbury, Dorset.
