PROVIDE LOCALLY BASED CHRISTIAN SUPPORT IN HEALTH AND FITNESS CLUBS THROUGH FRIENDSHIP AND MAINTAINING LINKS WITH LOCAL CHURCHES.

The charity provides advice, education and information on astronomy to members of the society and members of the general public. This is primarily done through the holding of monthly meetings at which guest speakers talk about special subjects and members and visitors can discuss and learn about astronomy. The society also has an observatory which is available for use of members and the public.

We are a PTA for a primary school responsible for raising money through the organisation of events / activities.

The Club is a member of Lions Club International which aims to foster a spirit of "generous consideration" amongst peoples of the word. We organize various events to raise money for local good causes and take an active interest in civic, social and morale welfare of the community, as well as promoting high ethical standards in members business and professions and the practice of good citizenship.

To provide premises for organisation to rent for village activities

Grants available for relief of need in the ecclesiastical parish of Dorchester.

Provide a facility for use by the local community and the church, this can be for meetings, education, social and fund raising events. The village hall is also used by the Parish Council and as a polling station.

Providing a village hall for local residents and commercial clients.

The trust grants scholarships and bursaries to musicians, choristers and choirs, for trianing purposes. Grants are made for the provision and maintenance of music, musical instruments and other facilities for providing music. Grants are also made for the provision of musical and choral education in schools, churches and the wider community.

Provision of a library service in Charmouth for local people of any age or sex.Provision of social welfare interests for recreation and leisure through the provision of a community meeting place and a mix of activities by the Friends of the library and other interested groups, again for all sections of society.Provision of an Internet cafe and computing facilities

To promote improvement in the standards of motorcycle riding and the advancement of road safety for the overall benefit of the public.

RENTAL OF VILLAGE HALL

Fund raising events including fetes, bazaars, sale of school tea towels etc. to rasie funds to buy equipment or other items for the school.

The choir travel to various concert venues, singing to raise money for charities such as Leukaemia & Cancer Research, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance to name but a few. Travel and other costs are taken from funds that are raised by holding coffee mornings and raffles. The choir website is now up and running thus enabling the public to find out more about the choir.

The provision and maintenance of an open space to be known as The" Bridport Millennium Green" for the benefit of the inhabitants.

To advance education in the performing arts for sixth-form students at Dorset Centre for Performing Arts by providing grants, bursaries or other payments or forms of support to such persons to purchase clothing, equipment or similar items in support of their education & enable them to undertake travel in furtherance of their education

The Trust collects contributions from Clubs within the District and distributes these with any funds already held to the relevant organisations.

Our Penbuddies project links and trains children around the world from privileged background to supported background (orphanages).
