In the last year, the Graduate Common Room has run its regular events including formal dinners, family parties and local trips. After Ustinov College's relocation to Sheraton Park, the charity has been working on a strategy that incorporates the community and enhances the student experience at the new site.

We continue to provide facilities to assist and encourage everyone who uses the centre to interact with family , friends and other users to undertake social, sports, healthy and educational activities to assist in keeping them fit, active and healthy and also to improve their mental health and their educational knowledge/skills

Provision of a facility to be used to train fencers, modern pentathletes and air pistol target shooters of all abilities and backgrounds

THE CHARITY IS A COMMUNITY HALL USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING A VENUE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS TO HOLD THEIR PARTICULAR EVENTS, CHARGED BY THE HOUR. IT IS HOME TO THE BRANDON & BYSHOTTLES TABLE TENNIS CLUB, THE 5TH DURHAM SCOUT GROUP AND A BINGO GROUP AS WELL AS HIRING ROOMS TO SLIMMING WORLD, A DANCE SCHOOL, INTEGRATION TRUST AND THE DURHAM SOCIALIST CLOTHING BANK AND FOOD BANK.

Establish & maintain Forest School and Nursery settings in a variety of woodland areas in North East England. Deliver Forest School & outdoor learning activities in local woodland to children & young people. Engage communities in outdoor activities which reconnect them with natureEncourage children & their families to further engage in outdoor activities to increase health and wellbeing

WE DO LOTS OF MEET AND GREETS TO MAKE THE GENERAL PUBLIC AWARE OF WHAT WE DO.

Bringing Words to Life (BWtL) is a literacy charity, founded by a journalist and author. After a lengthy pilot study in a primary school, the engagement of the children through this alternative platform encouraged the development of BWtL. The intention is to engage as many young people as possible with the processes, skills, and attitudes they need to enhance their literacy.

Parish support. Short breaks for those in difficult circumstances, support for women prisoners and families, school children in deprived area, womens refuge. Blankets, baby clothes, toilet bags to hospitals, support members overseas, literacy, development, health education, famine relief.

Easington Social Welfare Centre is the main community facility in the former mining settlement of Easington Colliery. As a registered Charity this building is run and managed to meets the needs of local people who have suffered much hardship since the closure of the mines in the 1990's. The centre provides a much needed resource for its community to use.

To promote education including social and physical education of boys and girls in the Parish of Bowes

CHILD CARE

Promotion of health, the relief of poverty, advancement of training and social and recreational activities, provision of convalescence for the relief of sickness of beneficiaries.

The Charity is a community based Scout Group. The Group is made up of 3 sections catering for boys and girls from the ages of 6 to 14 1/2. Each section has a varied programme of events throughout including camps, oudoor activites such as archery, wall climbing and orienteering. As well as outdoor pursuits the children take part in craft activities and are involved with the local community.

Provision of dance workshops and lessons for children with special needs.

To establish or secure the establishment of a community centre and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the charity in the furtherance of the above objects.

We are a small independent folk museum run by volunteers for the past 35 years and located at the High House Methodist Chapel .We provide a sense of place for those who live and visit Weardale by telling the stories of its history and heritage. We provide a family history service using our 70,000 database of Weardale families and we hold extensive collections of Weardale photographs and artefacts.

To promote the Buddhist faith of the New Kadampa Tradition throughout Co. Durham, North Yorkshire and the Tees Valley.

Promotion of brass bands and brass band music as an art form in the community. Education and training of new and existing brass musicians of all ages.

Furthering of religious and other charitable works of the Church of England within this parish
