The objects of the Durham Music Trust CIO are: To advance the education of the public, with a focus on children and young people, in the art and science of music in particular but not exclusively in County Durham and Darlington by raising capital and revenue funds to: 1. Support young people in their musical endeavours through a range of musical education programmes; 2. Support Durham

We offer a weekly Outreach to the homeless community and those who are vulnerable and destitute existing in the North East specifically those who have gravitated to Newcastle city centre.We provide food, sleeping bags, clothing, shoes and other essential items. We offer friendship and support, whilst raising awareness of the plight of our homeless community and to help those wanting our help.

TWSMRT operates 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. We provide a mountain, search and rescue service for the whole of County Durham, from the high fells in the west to the coastal communities of the North Sea. The Team responds to requests by the Police to a range of incident types, from injured or lost people in the hills to vulnerable missing people in urban settings.

We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome stray and unwanted animals in the North East of England.

We provide a venue for groups in Consett, County Durham, and the surrounding district to meet together for various social activities, e.g. clubs, societies and Women's Institute; as well as groups for those with mental health issues, young people with learning difficulties and those with addictions. We hold information events, coffee afternoons, Wellbeing Centre and local government meetings.

TO EMPOWER DISABLED PERSONS IN DURHAM CITY, BY PROVIDING THEM WITH ELECTRIC AND MANUAL WHEELCHAIRS OR SCOOTERS, TO ACCESS SHOPPING AREAS, PLACES OF INTEREST, EDUCATIONAL AND LEISURE FACILITIES, PROMOTING INDEPENDENCE, CONFIDENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SELF ESTEEM.

PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR LOCAL GROUPS, OTHER CHARITIES AND PRIVATE HIRE FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS.ORGANISE EVENTS FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHICH ALSO PROVIDES ADDITIONAL INCOME TOWARDS THE UPKEEP OF THE CENTRE.

The charity provides social activities, help and support for people with learning disabilities in friendly and welcoming club premises in Darlington. It operates 3 evenings per week using volunteers to provide all facilities, in addition to one-off events during the year.

Plawsworth and Kimblesworth Community Association is a village hall run by a committee of volunteers and a paid caretaker. The building offers:* 3 meeting rooms* Canteen* Kitchen* 250 seat hall with a stage and sprung dance floor* Off-street parking and disabled access to the rear of the buildingParts of the building are available to hire at most times, particularly during the day.

The team was formed back in the 1970s as a North of Tyne Local Education Authority team in response to an increase in the number of incidents occurring on the hills and fells of Northumbria as outdoor activities such as climbing and hill walking grew in popularity. It became the North of Tyne Search & Rescue Team in the early 80s and more recently became the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team

Durham Community Association is situated in the centre of Durham City serving Durham and the surrounding area. A variety of rooms, offices and 2 halls are hired out to members and the general public. We host a number of groups, classes and clubs and new members are always welcome.

OPERATION OF NEWBURN LEISURE CENTRE

Rotary Club of Consett gives donations to organisations, individuals, groups and other charities in the local area. We help all ages for purposes of education, training, medical support and overseas aid.

Provision of educational scholarships for pupils to attend Durham School and also to provide scholarships to Old Dunelmians to attend college at either Oxford or Cambridge

The Charity represents a Christian congregation in Chester le Street, Co Durham providing pastoral ministry, public worship services, children and young people's work, evangelism, and teaching. It accommodates Durham Christian Partnership's rehabilitation, counselling and food bank collection work .It supports missionaries in UK and overseas, but does not respond to unsolicited funding requests .

The charity provides holistic care, with an emphasis on mental and spiritual health, to people living in the Durham Dales area, through provision of a parish nursing programme. It provides support and signposting, and works collaboratively with other community groups and health providers in the area to improve the mental health of people living there.

The charity's objects are to support charitable organisations which are based in either Northumberland, County Durham or Tyne and Wear, which largely carry out their work within this region and which promote creativity amongst young people and those who have been deprived of the opportunity to enjoy the arts whether by disability or circumstance.

The charity's main activity is to provide a Community Transport service in the Dene Valley and surrounding areas.

Our main objective is to renovate The Norwood Engine originally given to our group on long-term loan and then purchased by us. We are looking for sponsorship and grants to overhaul this engine. We have links with several heritage railways, with a special relationship with the National Railway Museum, ShildonWe also renovate other heritage vehicles.
