The members of Weardale Railway Trust support the educational activities, operation and preservation of the railway infrastructure and rolling stock on the railway line which operates between Stanhope and Bishop Auckland in County Durham.

We are part of the nationwide City of Sanctuary movement. Based in County Durham, we work to build opportunities for introductions and friendship between sanctuary seekers and local people, helping new arrivals to integrate into our communities. Our aim is to create a culture of welcome for people seeking sanctuary from war and persecution.

The production of dramatic plays & readings. To promote, maintain, improve and advance education of the public by the production of plays and the encouragement of the arts.

We are a junior football club who provide training, competition and social connectivity for children and young people from 4yrs to 18yrs within the Trimdon area of county Durham.

We aim to provide a meeting place for the villagers of Stainton and to provide activities for them such as live entertainment, BBQ's, Village show,WI, Tea and Chat, and dominoes. Really we want to give the village a heart.

To provide a meeting place for the people in the Trimdon and surrounding area,in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.

St Patrick's Hall Organisation Consett provides a substantial community facility and services for the benefit of the people of Consett and surrounding areas. The hall is used by groups such as Slimming World, Alcoholics Anonymous, Keep Fit groups, Various education courses are run e.g. photography, cookery, Lunch clubs and a dementia cafe also take place.

To supply personal and home hygiene packs to those suffering hygiene poverty.

Provides bungalows in the Stanley area for aged miners.

PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR LOCAL GROUPS, OTHER CHARITIES AND PRIVATE HIRE FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS.ORGANISE EVENTS FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHICH ALSO PROVIDES ADDITIONAL INCOME TOWARDS THE UPKEEP OF THE CENTRE.

Advance and promote the educational, research, heritage, local community and cultural preservation and development of the land, buildings or any other artefacts which are of any historic, agricultural, scientific, or industrial, archeological or general architectural interest Epiacum Roman Fort and its environs. This includes collaborating and connecting with other heritage and community projects

We organise the activities of 1 paid Chaplain Team Leader and 21 Voluntary Chaplains who a) engage directly with people in places of work, b) work collaboratively with ministries in other sectors, with local churches and with other agencies. c) represent to those in authority, peoples' experience and perception of work, and raise questions with those who make decisions. Junction 7 are based in the Western Area of Newton Aycliffe we provide a crisis intervention program for the residents of the Western Area and surrounding areas of Newton Aycliffe and beyond. We also deal with cases of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.

Energise and regenerate the community of Sedgefield.

Spennymoor Youth Theatre Group provides training in the performing arts to young people with an interest or talent in this field regardless of their financial status.

TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF CONGOLESE PEOPLE LIVING IN THE UK AND ABROAD, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID PEOPLE AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND OTHER ORGANISATION IN A COMMON EFFORT TO RELIEVE PAUVERTY AND SICKNESS, TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES TO RECREATION, WITH OBJECTIVES OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF THE LIFE OF THE SAID COMMUNITY.

To manage the Village Hall for the use of residents without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions, and in particular for use for meetings, lectures and classes, and other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
