We provide the building and facilities for use by the surrounding and wider communities, for a wide range of social and educational activities.

The objectives of the charity are to promote and provide leisure and social opportunities for people with learning difficulties. This is achieved by providing weekly sessions of structured activities. The activities include sports, arts and crafts, and social events. The events include the annual Summer ball, Christmas party and themed nights. The club has a team of 18 volunteers.

The activities of the Charity include the following: Teaching and Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Bible Study's, Prayer Meetings, Visiting the Elderly and Sick people, Parent and Toddler group (Rainbow Tots), Free Meal Days, Clothes Bank. We also are involved in fund raising activities for the Charity. Mainly in the Shildon, County Durham area.

The City Theatre has been improved by alterations to its entrance and bar and to its heating, making it more attractive to potential audiences. The Society performed five three-act plays which played to 88%, 93%. 60%, 68% and 75% of capacity. The theatre has been hired on occasions by professional and amateur companies. The Society has been represented at drama festivals at Saltburn and Buxton

To advance education of public in appreciation of music & in particular piano music through provision of recitals & concerts via such other charitable ways that trustees may determine from time to time. Our educational aims have been achieved through our continued promotion of piano recitals of classical music given entirely by professional artists of international renown.

The youth section of the church have developed a puppet ministry, to enable them to work more closely with children of all ages to develop their understand of the Christian beliefs and practices. We have held several fellowship groups, with in the community to promote the Christian way of life. We continue to work with the youth, as well as the residents of the Gilesgate area and the wider area

Spiritualist Church

Working to provide facilities for the local community to engage in community activities and interests. Providing events and functions for the local community to ensure that residents have access a range of clubs, events etc.Working to preserve the village hall to ensure that a maintained venue is available for all local community groups and residents.

Relieve sickness and financial hardship through provision of counselling and support; advance education in parts of United Kingdom & worldwide as trustees. Strategies for achieving objectives-Sunday services.-Week night Bible Studies at various centres in the community;-Organising religious and social meetings in order to support members and for community benefit.-Fundraising activities.

Providing and supporting extra curricular activties/events for the children of Coxhoe Primary School.

The Bulls are an amatuer Wheelchair Rugby Club operating out of Sedgefield in County Durham. Our main aim is the relief of disabled people by the promotion of disability sport and in particular Wheelchair Rugby in County Durham, Teesside & North Yorkshire.

The principal object of the charity is the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Statements of Faith and Practice of the Independent Methodist Connexion. The charity may also carry out other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and/or other parts of the world.
