TO PROVIDE RELIEF FROM POVERTY AND MAKE GRANTS TO OTHER CHARITIES AND INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE PROVINCE OF DURHAM

Promotes concerts and workshops

The objectives of the charity are to promote and provide leisure and social opportunities for people with learning difficulties. This is achieved by providing weekly sessions of structured activities. The activities include sports, arts and crafts, and social events. The events include the annual Summer ball, Christmas party and themed nights. The club has a team of 18 volunteers.

Relief of poverty

As volunteers we work with professionals to influence and improve services to children and young people (0-25 years) with special educational needs and disabilities in County Durham. We host bi-annual conferences, SEND information events, parent/carer training and more. We attend face to face and virtual meetings with LA, Health, Social Care and voluntary groups locally, regionally and nationally.

Community hall used for social groups i.e. Mother and Toddler Group/Dance fit Class/Yoga/Ladies Monthly group/ Flower arranging/Quilting class/N-dance troop/Musical evenings/Wine tasting evenings/ Afternoon Tea Dances/Quiz's/ Bonfire soup and hotdog gatherings/ craft fayre etc

To further the study, practice and enjoyment of brass band music in all its forms in order to advance the education and appreciation of the public in the art of brass band music through public performance, training and education in the county of Northumberland and the surrounding area.

Playgroup morning, Bingo Night, Quiz night, Women's Institute meetings, Bridge Club, Yoga, Table Tennis, Craft Club, Keep, Hall Hire, Hallmarked to level 2, holds a license for serving alcohol, playing recorded and live music.

Cappella Newcastle (founded in 1960 as Cappella Novocastriensis), specialises in singing music for worship and often sings unaccompanied. Cappella sings in churches throughout the North East, as well as giving several major concerts each year. The repertoire is varied and ambitious, ranging from English renaissance composers to contemporary works by Whitacre and Jackson.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Bishop Middleham without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for:(a) meetings, lectures and classes, and(b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants

.b) To establish or secure the establishment of a Community Center and to maintain and manage the same (Whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or other person or body) in furtherance of these objects. c) To promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.

Raises funds to award the annual Ruth First Scholarship to enable a student from southern Africa to take a taught Master's course at Durham University

To regularly sponsor and make donations to a variety of Christian organisations working both within the UK and overseas.

A NON-POLITICAL, NON-SECTARIAN CHOIR WHO SEEK TO INTEREST THE PUBLIC IN THE ART OF SINGING BY PARTICIPATING AND ASSISTING IN CONCERTS AND SIMILAR ACTIVITIES. THROUGH THESE ACTIVITIES THE CHOIR IS ALSO ABLE, ON OCCASIONS, TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO A NUMBER OF LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS.
