The aim of the management committee is to maintain an attractive open-air swimming pool inStanhope that is a good asset for the local community and visitors of Weardale.

We aim to provide a meeting place for the villagers of Stainton and to provide activities for them such as live entertainment, BBQ's, Village show,WI, Tea and Chat, and dominoes. Really we want to give the village a heart.

To regularly sponsor and make donations to a variety of Christian organisations working both within the UK and overseas.

Our PTA works with the school, parents, pupils and the local community to put on a range of events andactivities, such as summer and winter fairs, disco's, non-uniform days and fun competitions. These help tobuild the school community, break down barriers and help fundraise. We use our funds to purchase arange of goods and services that help advance the education of pupils at our school.

Regular users of village hall include Pilates, Mother & Toddlers, Art Class.Hall available for hire for private parties, dances, meetings etc. Facilities include car park, disabled access, kitchen, large main hall (divisible), small upper room.

Raises funds for education and training resources in St Margaret's school, Durham. Provides grants to enrich the experience of the pupils and organizes activities from which the wider school community also benefits.

We are an all inclusive drama and musical society with a youth theatre. We perform throughout Northumberland and Tyneside. Our aim is to be an inclusive organisation. This is a holding note only until a full note can be prepared.

Cappella Newcastle (founded in 1960 as Cappella Novocastriensis), specialises in singing music for worship and often sings unaccompanied. Cappella sings in churches throughout the North East, as well as giving several major concerts each year. The repertoire is varied and ambitious, ranging from English renaissance composers to contemporary works by Whitacre and Jackson.
