WE AIM TO;PROMOTE JOINT WORKING AND PARTNERSHIP ACROSS THE VOLUNTARY /NOT FOR PROFIT MENTAL HEALTH SECTOR.PROMOTE BEST PRACTICE IN MENTAL HEALTH TO ENSURE HIGH QUALITY PROVISION FOR, AND PARTNERSHIP WITH, SERVICE USERS AND CARERSSTRENGTHEN THE ROLE OF MENTAL HEALTH VCS ORGANISATIONS REGIONALLY.SUPPORT LOCALITIES AND MENTAL HEALTH VCS COALITIONS/NETWORKS ACROSS THE REGION.

The Friends of Cotherstone School raises money for use by Cotherstone Primary School, facilitates a good relationship between the school and the local community and supports the school in any way deemed helpful.

The charity's objectives are:To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Faith in parts of Durham, the United Kingdom or the world To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind, including through the provision of support in such parts of Durham, the United Kingdom or the world.

The society organises ten lectures each year on the decorative and fine arts. It has a church recorders group whose researches produce records of the fabric and contents of churches for presentation. Volunteers assist museums and other institutions with the cataloguing and maintenance of heritage property. The society makes grants to support arts projects in the community.

-Engaging in research projects in collaboration with professional archaeologists and other partners to develop a fuller understanding of the archaeology of the North Pennines;-Providing opportunities for members to increase their knowledge of archaeological methods and practices via education, research, fieldwork and training;-Raising awareness of the rich and diverse archaeological heritage

Providing cricket organisation or facilities with the object of improving the life of people needing such facilities by reason of age, disability, poverty, social or economic circumstance.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of inhabitants of Hutton Henry without distinction of political, religious or other options.

BARNARD CASTLE YOUNG FARMERS CLUB IS RUN BY YOUNG PEOPLE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED FROM 10-26 YEARS. MEMBERS OF THE CLUB TAKE PART IN A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITES SUCH AS QUIZS, STOCKJUDGING, BOWLING AND PAINT BALLING AND MUCH MORE. DURING THE YEAR WE HOLD MANY FUNDRAISING EVENTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR OUR CHOSEN CHARITY WHICH IS PICKED BY OUR MEMBERS.

The principal activity is to provide holidays for needy children from the North East of England who would not otherwise have the opportunity of such a break.

We provide social activities that include social meetings and accessible sports. Other activities include group days out, regular virtual meetings, technology support and mentoring. We also produce a monthly newsletter in various formats. All the venues we use are suitable for disabled access.

We arrange fundraising activities such as discos, carnivals, raffles etc to provide extra resources for Sedgefield Hardwick Primary School to enrich the school life of the pupils there

Music Matters North East aims to raise funds and in-kind donations for the promotion of arts, particularly the arts of music, poetry, drama and dance for the public benefit in North East England. We will do this through the provision of community based interactive workshops in areas where public access to these arts is limited by geography, financial means or other restrictions.

The charity's purposes are to promote the benefit of inhabitants of Lands and Morley by providing the facilities for social welfare for recreation, leisure and education; to establish, maintain and manage a community centre for the purpose; and promote other charitable purposes as appropriate.

Our mission remains that of enabling children and young people to develop emotionally,physically ,socially and educationally by taking part in a range of activities at Carlton Outdoor Education Centre. In particular we are dedicated to helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

AIMS TO BE OF SERVICE TO THE CHURCH IN THE DIOCESES OF DURHAM & NEWCASTLE BY:PROMOTING THE RINGING OF BELLS FOR CHRISTIAN WORSHIP AND ON OTHER APPROPRIATE OCCASIONS;RECRUITING AND TRAINING RINGERS;ENCOURAGING THE ART OF CHANGE-RINGING;HELPING RINGERS TO IMPROVE THE STANDARD OF THEIR RINGING; ANDASSISTING WITH THE CARE OF RESTORATION OF BELLS AND THEIR FITTINGS.

The funding raised is used to support the Dancers of O'Hehir School of Irish dance, a dance school in the north east of England in a socially deprived region. Dancers require help with footwear, class fees, transportation costs to major competitions etc. The funds are also used for community events to bring pupils/families together to enjoy events such as pantomime trips & parties etc..

The object of the charity is to apply its income and its capital towards the maintenance of the fabric and towards any required building restoration to St Marys Church in Horden, Co. Durham.

To facilitate and support the churches of the North east in their relationships with one another and their wider mission in the world. This is promoted by encouraging and developing the principles and practicalities of Christian Unity throughout the region and encouraging the churches to engage with their communities through social action

Weekly singing classes in Durham. Occasional workshops for members of the community. Concerts for other charitable purposes.

THE FUNCTION OF THE FRIENDS GROUP IS TO MAINTAIN, PRESERVE AND CONSERVE THE ORCHARD; BORDER AND PARTERRE PLANTING; AND LAWNED AREAS OF THESE 17TH CENTURY, AUTHENTICALLY PLANTED, RESTORED GARDENS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL. WE OPEN THE GARDENS TWICE A WEEK AND ARE INTENDING TO INCREASE THIS. WE INVOLVE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, SCHOOLS, UNIVERSITY, COLLEGES AND BUSINESSES IN OUR WORK.
