The purpose of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Allerthorpe and neighbouring areas The hall is available for meetings, lectures, and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the aim of improving the conditions of life for local people. The Hall is the only meeting place in the community

During the year the charity provides a wide range of events and activities which allow the opportunity for parents, children, staff and local community to interact. The charity provides facilities, equipment and experiences to improve the education of the pupils.

To advance education; to advance in life, help and relieve the needs of children and young people; and to prevent and relieve children and young people in poverty in particular but not exclusively by providing funds and by supporting projects for children and young people living in Nsanje district in Southern Malawi and Kingtom, BawBaw and Waterloo Communities in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

The Charity welcomes requests for funding from individuals and organisations for wide variety of purposes, principally in the area local to Bridlington.

North Wolds Lions Club serve the local community as well as helping people internationally. They are involved in community projects and regular events. The income is donated mainly to village causes and events.

Running seminars and workshops on health and safety aspects of the civil engineering industry.

The Village Hall in Middleton on the Wolds provides a comfortable and safe environment for local interest groups to meet and for residents to hold social & family functions.
