The aim of York Blind & Partially Sighted Society (MySight York) is to advocate and provide services to enable people who are blind or partially sighted achieve independence and live well with sight loss. We provide an Equipment and Information Centre, a Befriending Service, an Eye Clinic service, activities, outreach to anyone struggling with sight loss in the York area.

Purple Patch Arts exists to improve the lives and life chances of people with learning disabilities by providing innovative, inclusive, creative learning experiences for them and the professionals that support them.

This organisation has run The Moorlands Community Centre in Old Goole for over twenty years, starting from a room in a disused school to currently a centre which has a community cafe, IT suite, meeting rooms, welcome space and a donation station. Our core services are our Youth Provision, Community Welcome Space, Pantry Club and Lunch Club.

To provide grants to charities which fall within the following:-The Arts, Social Mobility, Animal Welfare and Sport.

WE ARE AN INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY CENTRE SERVING BEVERLEY AND SURROUNDING AREA. OUR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE A FREE ADVICE SERVICE, A PRE-SCHOOL / OUT OF SCHOOL CLUB, A HOLIDAY CLUB, A YOUTH CLUB, COMMUNITY GROUPS FOR ALL AGES, A CREDIT UNION BRANCH, A HOUSING PROJECT , A COMMUNITY PANTRY AND VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES.

Yorkshire Universities works to maximise the contribution of higher education to the region, and beyond, through collaboration, together and with partners, where this generates greater impact and public benefit. We seek to widen engagement with higher education, for individuals to develop their skills and with private and public sectors to create knowledge through research and innovation.

Yorkshire Camps is committed to "Sharing Jesus Christ with young people". We run holiday camps for under 18 year olds where young people can:1) Enjoy an action packed holiday2) Explore the Christian message3) Enlarge their faith

Operation of a working trolleybus and transport museum, including the associated restoration and/ or conservation of exhibits, archives etc.

To focus on sexual health and well-being, particularly targeting young men and women and other vulnerable or marginalised groups.To provide information, support and services to enable people to make informed choices and to take appropriate action, to improve their sexual health and well-being, and reduce the stigma associated with sexually transmitted infections and HIV.

SUPPORT THROUGH TRAINED VOLUNTEERS TO PEOPLE LEAVING HOSPITAL WHO ARE WITHOUT FRIENDS OR RELATIVES AND WHO NEED UP TO SIX WEEKS TO ADAPT TO 'CHANGED CIRCUMSTANCES'. ALSO A SUPPORT SERVICE TO CARERS WITH DEPENDENTS WHO HAVE CANCER. ALSO A 'TELECARE' SUPPORT SERVICE IN ASSOCIATION WITH PCT AND SOCIAL SERVICES.

Pyramid of Arts works to establish inclusive creative communities that engage & empower people regardless of their level of disability or disadvantage. It specialises in arts provision that includes people with learning disabilities, enabling them to work with the wider arts community & professional artists in quality creative projects. Its emphasis is on collaboration & collective achievement.

Provision to asylum seekers and refugees in Hull & ERYC & North East Lincolnshire of financial assistance in the form of small grants; items such as clothing or food; and facilities such as training fees, equipment for recreational pursuits in the interests of social welfare, or education/cultural awareness training intended to bring their quality of life to an enhanced standard.

The object of the charity is to provide for general charitable purposes in the local (Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire) area. The aged, disabled and underprivileged are assisted wherever possible as are children suffering from dyslexia. Financial assistance is provided primarily to supporting institutions specialising in these areas.

To provide access to a music education to young people in particular by the provision of a music school and centre of excellence in music education and performance.

To advance education worldwide and for the public benefit to relieve persons and in particular children who are suffering sickness, need, hardship or distress anywhere in the world as a result of famine, drought, flood, war or any other calamity.

PROVIDES COMMUNITY CARE SERVICES TO THOSE IN NEED OF SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO RELIEVE AND IMPROVE THE SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS OF THE COMMUNITY WE SERVE.

Working Locally in the East Riding area to help unwanted and abandoned dogs by taking them in, feeding, providing shelter, healthcare and any other needs. Finding new homes, assessing new homes, adopting out the dogs.Provides a Community Facility for Dog Owners to go to get education and advice on dog ownership.Working in Romania to rescue street dogs from life of neglect.

We offer a range of services to young people aged 9-25 as well as members of the wider community including open access sessions, issue based work, sports/well-being, outreach/detached sessions, employment projects, volunteering opportunities, a domestic abuse awareness project and intensive one to one support sessions.

Repair, restoration and maintenance of Beverley Minster.

We provide support to those affected by asbestos related conditions, across Yorkshire, Humberside and North Nottinghamshire, to those diagnosed plus their families. Every year, our charity receives over 300 new referrals and we help each individual access (on average) over £24,000 income, plus providing emotional and bereavement support and organising social groups and events for our service users
