The general purpose of the charity is to support the objects of the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO). These are to promote, maintain, improve and advance education, particularly musical education and to encourage the arts, including the arts of music, drama, mem, dance and singing.

To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the statement of belief appearing in the schedule hereto in east Sussex or in other such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees from time to time may think fit and such other purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales and are connected with the said charitable work of the charity.

We aim to ensure the best possible future for the Forest by supporting the Conservators who have been managing the Forest since 1885. They care for this rare and protected habitat, to improve biodiversity and bio-abundance. Through engagement, education and philanthropy, we aim to conserve this special landscape for public enjoyment and raise quality of life and well-being in the community.

To provide and run a village hall and recreation field for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Wadhurst or for the public at large for social welfare and improvement of life.

A term time pre-school for children aged 2-4 years to prepare children for school through education

East Grinstead and District Lions Club (CIO) operates in the East Grinstead and surrounding areas in Sussex, Surrey and Kent, raising funds though activities by organising local events such as our May fair, Donkey Derby, Swim Night and selling secondhand books at the local Railway stations. These funds are then used to mainly provide grants for the benefit of those in need in the local community.

We provide a number of charitable services to homeless and rough sleepers including running street kitchens to provide food and clothing. We currently run 7 days a week giving volunteers a chance to work together on these projects. Since March 2020 the first Covid-19 lock down we stepped up our services, this was made possible by extra vounteers over 300 and support from businesses and groups.

Provides facilities for community organisations and charities, promotes establishment of local community groups to serve local population. Enhance local community capacity to develop appropriate responses to identified needs.

Provides affordable costume hire, educational resource boxes and practical assistance to: schools/ colleges, community/ youth groups, charities/ not for profit organisations, amateur/ fringe arts. Delivers a Community Outreach Programme of educational sewing-based workshops; interactive storytelling / reminiscence/ dressing-up activities. Promotes costume re-use, by re-styling or rehoming.

Promotion and financial support of Symphony Concerts by Worthing Symphony Orchestra and other public musical events in furtherance of its objectives to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music. Concerts could not be held for a long period due to Covid but have now resumed

TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN UNDER STATUTORY SCHOOL AGE BY ENCOURAGING PARENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND PROVIDE THE NEEDS OF THEIR CHILDREN THROUGH COMMUNITY GROUPS.

To act as a sanctuary and veterinary clinic for unwanted cats.

Development of a residential retirement complex as an enabling development to build nursing homes.

Provide buildings for the use for religious activities by the Parish Vicar, and for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Ringmer. Without distinction of sex, political or religious or other opinions; for use for meetings, lectures, library services, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the residents of Ringmer.

Our playgroup provides a stimulating and educational play environment for children aged 2-5 years.

To advance Orthodox Judaism as expounded by the teachings of Chabad Lubavitch and to advance the understanding of Judaism amongst Jews and people of other faiths, primarily amongst students in the South East Counties and on the South Coast of England.

The Campaign to Protect Rural England, Sussex Branch CIO exists to promote the beauty, tranquillity and diversity of rural England by encouraging the sustainable use of land and other natural resources in town and country.

Providing of grants to charitable institutions or for charitable purposes with particular reference to 1) the parish church, 2) education, 3) other purposes situated in the parish of Ditchling and in the county of East Sussex, and 4) the practice of preventive cardiology carried our either by the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom or elsewhere.

To apply income for any charitable purpose relating to the National Health Service wholly or mainly for the services provided by the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust, for expenditure which the Trust does not and cannot obtain funding. In furthering these objectives the Charity seeks to apply expenditure only where a public benefit will ensue, directly or indirectly.

To enhance the development and education of children of pre-school age by encouraging parents to understand and to provide for the needs of their children through community groups.
