The Charity's principal objective is to provide accomodation within the almshouse for poor people of good character residing in the former County Borough of Brighton and Borough of Hove, now a Unitary Authority known as Brighton & Hove City Council.

Sensing Friends provides emotional support through therapeutic peer support groups, creative expression groups and one to one counselling support provided by trained, experienced counsellors, ecotherapists, creative youth practitioners and social workers, to any young person aged 8 - 25 experiencing any form of physical or emotional disability or additional needs.

Finleys Touch works to help support children diagnosed with Cancer, in particular...Provision of hospital survival bags. Provision of grants and support to children and their families, predominantly in Sussex, Raising awareness of childhood cancer and education on the early signs and symptoms of childhood cancer.

The charity supports all aspects of the management of the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve in East Sussex by providing finance, volunteer assistance, staff accommodation and advice. Meetings and events for members of the charity are held to assist with fund raising.

We are a performing arts school which offers a fully comprehensive professional training in drama, dance and musical theatre to children from aged 3 - 18. Scholarships and bursaries are available to the disadvantaged and needy.

Rescue, care, treatment, rehabilitation and release of wildlife to natural habitat. Education & training with regard to the care of wildlife and the necessary part they play in our world.

Leisure & Learning delivers a range of inclusive leisure, learning and wellbeing programmes. Our purpose is to promote community wellbeing, to provide pathways to further education and jobs, to turn our much loved buildings into vibrant, collaboratively managed, community spaces and to encourage people to contribute and make a difference to what matters in our community.

To advance public education about the history, geography and all other studies relating to Crawley and district particularly by the maintenance of museums in the district of Crawley or any other property the Society may acquire.

Uckfield Baptist Church promotes the Christian faith through corporate worship, including prayer, communion and biblical teaching. It also provides Christian education for children. It holds small groups at other times for Bible study & prayer. The Church runs a parent and toddler group for young families. The Church supports several organisations in the UK and beyond that have similar objectives.

Amateur Theatre Club based in Lewes and serving the surrounding areas, giving opportunities for learning about both onstage and backstage jobs, as well as providing regular productions

Almshouse

An evangelical church in Eastbourne, holding morning & evening services each Sunday, & a mid-week prayer meeting. Before COVID-19 restrictions, we took services in four local care homes, had two regular home groups, a monthly Seniors' lunch, & youth group. We are part of the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion. We support a missionary in Moldova, & various local, national & overseas Christian work.

Regular public worship open to all. The provision of sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation. Pastoral work including visiting the sick and the bereaved. Teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups. Taking of religious assemblies in schools. Promotion of Christianity through the staging of events and meetings and the distribution of literature.

Financial assistance to farmers, farm staff and those involved in all of the wider land based industries and dependants of these groups. Mainly in the county of Sussex but also in adjoining counties at the Trustees discretion. Support can be short or long term to cover, for example, illness, support in retirement or financial difficulties and can also be for those entering land based education.

SILVERHILL PLAYGROUP IS RUN AS A COMMUNITY PLAYGROUP. OUR AIM IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND HAPPY ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH CHILDREN CAN PLAY AND LEARN. WE ALWAYS HAVE A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES OUT EACH DAY FOR THE CHILDREN TO DO. WE ENCOURAGE PARENTS TO STAY AND HELP AND SEE HOW THE CHILDREN LEARN. WE HAVE A SMALL OUTSIDE AREA WHICH IS USED WHAT EVER THE WEATHER.

As a Christian based charity our aim is to help those in need by giving them a hand up not just a hand out. We seek to reach whole communities working with local people by serving leaders. Linking churches-reaching nations demonstrating the love and goodness of God.

The University of the Third Age provides activities for retired people over the age of sixty. This includes singing groups, game playing groups (e.g. bridge, scrabble), ukulele groups, photography and discussion groups. There are also meetings for lunches and theatre trips.

The prevention or relief of poverty in Crowborough, East Sussex and the surrounding areas or such wider area as may seem appropriate by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty and in particular by providing emergency food supplies/help to those in crisis including signposting to other agencies.

The League of Friends provides help and support to our local hospital , donating funds towards acquiring additional equipment and facilities ; with a view to constantly improving the quality of care for patients. Helping and supporting the excellent staff and all the visitors to the hospital and generally improving the experience for any and everyone attending the Uckfield Community Hospital.

Shapeshifter Productions is a performing arts charity based in Waltham Forest. The object is to advance the arts for the public benefit by the promotion in particular, but not exclusively, of the arts of drama and music. Our activities focus on delivering original, world class productions, reaching out and actively engaging local communities.

We provide Equine Assisted Learning and Therapeutic Horsemanship to children , teenagers and their families when life is challenging and additional support helps to deal with the issues that they are facing. We are based in Wisborough Green, West Sussex. Families come and spend time with the horses and with qualified practitioners find new skills ,strategies and information to assist them.
