To advance the Christian faith in accordance with our statements of belief (in Brighton, East Sussex and other parts of the UK or the world) in such ways as the Trustees may from time to time may think fit.To relieve persons who are in various types of need as the Trustees may from time to time think fit, consistent with our statement of beliefs.

Chantry Quire performs approximately three to four concerts per year. All performances offer the generalpublic the chance to advance their education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music. The group does approximately 20-25 rehearsals per year, which allow the members topractise their individual skills and improve and hone the standard of the group and performance.

Provision of five chamber music concerts per season (October-March), by professional musicians, for members of the society and non members who can buy a ticket for individual concerts.

The Brighton Chamber Choir is a mixed voice choir of about 30 members. It performs three to four concerts a year, which may include a concert raising funds for a charitable organisation.

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. Adventure and learning for young people in the age range 6 - 25

Letting of Village Hall to/for local people and organisations including all supporting maintenance and fund raising

To advance the education and opportunities for the pupils and staff of St Mark's CEP School; and residents and children of the village of Hadlow Down, East Sussex. In furtherance of this objective the fund may provide and assist in the provision of such facilities, opportunities or items for education (not provided from statutory funds) as the trustees from time to time determine

The development of young people physically, morally & spiritually through the progresive programme of scout activities & interests.

To advance the education of the public in the subject of steam pumping engines used in the water industry and in related subjects with particular reference to the Brede Steam Pumping Engines and the Brede Tramway.

BH-Shed will provide a safe, relaxing and stimulating environment where people can socialise, make new friends and enjoy the pursuit of worthwhile activity. It will provide benefits to those needing companionship, suffering loneliness, needing access to tools and equipment, and interested in working alongside like-minded people.

Parents organise events to raise funds to donate to the school

Religious activities to advance religion in accordance with the doctrine of the Church of England in the diocese of Chichester and to renew Anglican Christians in their Christian commitment.

We run fun and engaging events for students, families and the local community at Bevendean Primary School and Nursery. We run these events to support our community and create wonderful memories for our children and families. We funraise at these events and use the funds we raise to support our charitable purposes.

The Club predominantly supports causes local to its base area but, in addition, also supports the Kids Out Programme and, via another charity, various schemes in Uganda.

Fundraising for the school

Provides Village hall premises for hire to community.

Provides refreshments at Lewes Priory school activities and fund raises by holding special events, usually on the school grounds.

This charity raises money by running events at the primary school. The funds raised are then used to buy items for the school that could not be otherwise afforded.

PROVIDING AN ANNUAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

To facilitate teaching education and research in orthopaedic and accident surgery.

SEAFORD LIFEGUARDS ARE A VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION WHO PATROL SEAFORD BEACH WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS FROM 1ST MAY TO 30TH SEPTEMBER. THEY ALSO MONITOR THE BYELAWS FOR LEWES DISTRICT COUNCIL, INCLUDING SPEEDING BOATS WITHIN THE SWIMMING AREA AND DOG FOULING. THEY ENDEAVOUR TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS BY VIGILANT OBSERVATIONS AND WARNING OF THE DANGERS OF THE SHELVING SEA.

The advancement of education for the public benefit by: 1. The restoration, preservation, operation, and improvement of the windmill at Windmill Hill, East Sussex, BN27 4RT; 2. The provision of public access to the windmill and the encouragement of the study of the windmill by the public.
