RAISING MONEY THROUGH EVENTS HELD AT THE SCHOOL

The Friends of Alfriston School organises and runs a wide range of activities across the academic year to raise money to support the children at Alfriston Primary School.

The 1st Old Town Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential.

Scouting Activities

To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the people of Jevington and its surrounding areas.

We are a Reptile rescue charity based in West Sussex, set up to provide care, rehoming, education and treatment to Ill, injured and unwanted reptiles. We are a small organisation which is run purely through expertise by volunteers.

Fund-raising activities such as Christmas and Summer Fayres and Firework Display, to provide facilities and items for education at school, for the benefit of all the children at Silverdale.

Classical Yoga Teaching

The Fund was established over 90 years ago to assist present pupils who have been at the School for at least two years, Old Roedeanians and their daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. There is a preference for pupils at the School who are studying at Sixth Form level. The Award is means-tested. Award holders are selected by the Trustees from a list put forward by the School.

The band continues to promote and teach brass band music in the community and regularly supports other organisations with their events and fund raising. The band has made a number of donations including to Chestnut Tree House and Brighton Hospital

The aim of the Friends is to advance the education and enrich the experience of the pupils of Claremont School.
