Meditation and Retreat Centre

The charity provides information and advice to the general public in Essex about local health and social care services. It makes the views and experiences of members of the general public known to health and social care providers, and it provides training for volunteers and the wider community in understanding, scrutinizing, reviewing and monitoring local health and care services and facilities.

We are a conservation & education charity & social enterprise. We have a visitor centre & operate a 110 year old paper machine. We run education & training courses for individuals, families, schools, & companies. We make specialist papers for arts, crafts and commercial uses and provide workspaces for individuals and SME's as well as a research incubator for developing new uses for paper.

Headway Essex provides specialist day care services and community-based support, information and advice services to support survivors of acquired brain injury and their families and carers across the county of Essex. We are the only charitable organisation providing services to this client group in Essex.

Provides support by direct financial contributions to small organisations (annual income below £500,000) for specific and well-defined projects directed to charitable purposes according to the laws of England and Wales principally in the geographical regions of Essex and Suffolk.

Long-term interventions include debt advice, benefits assistance, housing aid, essential items. Our prevention work involves post intervention 1-2-1 wellbeing guidance, money management classes in schools, advocacy & policy.

QVSR Seafarers Centres offer welfare support to active seafarers via our Seafarers Centres in Bristol, Felixstowe, Immingham, London Tilbury and London Gateway, we welcome around 50,000 seafarers each year.
