The charity's activities are focused on the furtherance of the general religious and charitable purposes of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain in the area of Ipswich and Diss Area Quaker Meeting and beyond.

Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation fundraises for major projects at Southend University Hospital, part of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

Colchester Emergency Night Shelter provides short-term emergency accommodation and meals to single homeless persons, normally for up to 28 days. During their stay, staff work intensively with residents to ensure that they receive the right benefits, to help them to access support to address other needs and to find appropriate and sustainable accommodation.

Religious Activities

This Church exists to:- bring people into God's family by sharing the Good News of Jesus, working closely with the local community, through the Town Council- encourage their growth through small groups, for sharing, teaching and training in God's Word- equip them for ministry and mission, by seeking to meet their needs and- all for God's glory and pleasure.

Colchester Foodbank seeks to address food poverty in the local area by giving food parcels to clients who have been issued with a voucher from a professional agency. In addition, we seek to make available signposting from a range of professionals who can advise on debt, housing, benefits, health and wellbeing, budgeting and child welfare.

The Charity allows Haverhill Town Council use of the Old Town Hall as an Arts Centre and Council offices. Other parts of the building are let to local charities.

Brentwood Crossroads' primary objective is to relieve stress in families or persons responsible for the care of sick or disabled people. We aim to supplement and complement, not replace, existing statutory services.
