The charitable fund operates two schools, providing education and care for pupils with special needs.

St Clare Hospice exists to meet the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of those with advanced and progressive life limiting illness and of their carers, through the provision of specialist palliative care services, based on need, as far as its resources allow.

Essex Community Foundation is an independent charitable trust. Founded in 1996, it has built an endowed fund of nearly £50 million, and has awarded over £47 million in grants to community-based voluntary groups in Essex, Southend and Thurrock.By acting as a broker the Foundation helps donors achieve their charitable objectives, and local voluntary groups secure funding for their work.

Grants are made for a wide range of charitable purposes, but there is a particular interest in environmental & conservation projects & in supporting the elderly/infirm & their carers & disadvantaged young people. Operation of independent, charitable school

Harlow Leisurezone, the new centre with both wet & dry facilities opened on the 23rd June 2010 at the Harlow College Site.Facilities include Swimming & Learner pools, Fitness Gym & Studios, Sports Hall, Squash Courts Trampolining Park, Climbing, all day nursery & catering facilities.

The School continues to provide a first-rate, all round, non-selective education for boys and girls from 3 - 13.

Carers FIRST is a charity supporting people who look after a relative or friend who due to ill health, physical or mental illness, disability, frailty, or addiction cannot manage without their support. We provide information, advice, guidance, emotional support, training and activities, giving carers an opportunity to have a break from their caring role and help them to get the support they need.

To provide personalised learning opportunities to children and young people in East Anglia aged 4 - 25 years who are disadvantaged and/or experience complex barriers to learning. Lapwing aims to deliver holistic development through a highly personalised academic, vocational/work based and therapeutic provision, preparing students for re-entry or progression into education, employment or training.
