The Parochial Church Council of Lawford exists to promote the Christian Gospel - the good news of Jesus Christ, to those who live and work in the parish of Lawford and beyond.

Ramsden Pre-School provides care, education and support to children from 2 to 5 years of age.

Providing preschool childcare and education for 2-5 year olds, operating in a rural village. Member of Early Years Alliance and registered with Ofsted.

The Trust awards grants for agricultural education in East Anglia, and aims to advance the education of the public in all aspects of agriculture and farming by providing grants for training and research.

At Little Acorns Pre-School we are committed to providing a happy, safe, stimulating, caring environment; where children's freedom of choice and imagination are nurtured and their needs and achievements are recognised. We are a member of the pre school learning alliance and registered with Ofsted to take 26 children per session between 18 months and 5 years. We run 10 sessions per week.

To provide camping facilities and indoor accommodation for members of the scout and guide associations, other youth organisations,schools, and community groups and also to provide a wide range of activities suitable for the 6 to 25 age group within the general principles of the Scout movement

Sapphire aims to provide clean, safe, secure, female, all young people and children only, temporary accommodation for young people, aged 16 and over within the UK. Our short-term accommodation provides single rooms with self catering and bathroom facilities and 24 hour security. All bills, council tax and service charges are included in their monthly charge.

The collection and redistribution of furniture to low income families and individuals in need. The provision of training and work experience to individuals disadvantaged in the employment market.

The Five Parishes provides regular public worship for all comers. Its four churches are always open to provide sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation. The sick and bereaved are visited; religious assemblies are held in the local CofE primary school. UK and overseas charities are supported. The Five Parishes seeks every opportunity to promote the whole mission of the Church.

The PCC is concerned with the promotion of the Christian Church of England in Brightlingsea in its many evangelical and social aspects, considering and discussing subjects of religious or public interest.The PCC is also charged with overseeing the budget and raising funds not only for special projects but also for the day to day running of the Church and to maintain its inherited foundation.

The main activity of St Michaels PCC is to promote the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the doctrines and practices of the Church of England. The PCC is reponsible for co-operating with the incumbent in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the church: pastoral, evangelistic, liturgical, social and ecumenical.

BASIS provides emotional and practical support to visually impaired people in South Essex. We do this through equipment demonstration at our Resource Centre, home visit assessments, befriending services, social activity groups and providing support at the local eye clinic.
