Hornchurch and Upminster Sea Cadets is a uniformed organisation for young people aged 10 to 18 years of age. The Unit provides skills, knowledge and education through training and activities that are underpinned by the Marine Society and Sea Cadet curriculum with a Royal Naval ethos. Throughout their Sea Cadet experience the Cadets are able to gain qualifications and skills for life.

Management of the Village Hall primarily for the benefit of the residents of Blackmore End, Beazley End and Rotten End. Organizing events for the benefit of local residents and to raise money for the maintainance of the hall..

We enable persons in East Hertfordshire and West Essex and the surrounding area as well as elsewhere who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those who may be at risk of suicide, to receive confidential emotional support at any time of the day or night in order to improve their emotional health and reduce the incidence of suicide.

Mariners Chapel is a Christian Church based in Rowhedge. We meet regularly for worship and fellowship, and work within our community to advance the Christian faith, provide comfort, support and encouragement to people in times of need, and to help foster a community spirit within our village. In addition to regular services, we provide and facilitate community events & groups throughout the year.

Pen Academy (formerly Al-Qalam Institute and also known as Qalam Academy) is dedicated to providing high-quality Islamic religious and cultural education. We offer a range of classes and community events, primarily held during weekends and evenings, to support spiritual growth, cultural understanding, and community engagement.

Our charity being a Christian body is mainly involved in activities which seek to advance the Christian faith by meeting and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ as is stated in the Bible. Our main functions are to raise funds through our members donations. Most of these donations are used to carry out charitiable works in our local community and funding community based projects in Africa.

The Trustees have expended funds on maintaining the cathedral and funding Ley Clerks to the choir.

The main function of the West Maldon Community Association is the management of the Community Centre. We try to provide a first class centre at reasonable prices, for the people of West Maldon. Most of our funds come from the hire of the centre and we also run bi-monthly quiz nights and other fund raising social events. Most of our profits are used to maintain and improve the facilities.
