Fundraising is carried out mainly on a Sunday lunchtime by way of a game of bingo, sales of football cards, weekly bonus ball competition and raffles.

The purpose of the museum is to maintain a base for the public benefit for the exhibition of local antiques and other objects of interest for the benefit and use of the inhabitants of and visitors to Billericay and the surrounding area. The Jubilee Field is used for sport and recreation by the inhabitants of Clavering and surrounding villages

The Pearson Bequest was established from a legacy left to The Church of the Ascension in the 1966, for the purpose ofthe church building fund. The aims and objectives of the club are to comply with the overall objectives as defined in the 2011 Charities act. We aim to help Local, National and International charities for the advancement of all who are affected.We also aim to support communities that we consider beneficial to the community as defined in the act.

Taking the gospel into local schools

Scouting - development of young people in achieving physical, intellectual & spiritual potentials as individuals & citizens.

Management of village hall and allotments.

Providing Scouting for boys and girls aged 5 to 18 in the Coggeshall area

Support for families who have lost loved ones to knife, gun and gang crime. Raising awareness of the impacts of violent crime through presentations and safety events. Citizenship through recreation-drama, music,dance and sport. Creating educational opportunities, working with partners to facilitate mentoring, employment and apprenticeships. Campaign for justice, championing the rights of victims.

The Association raises money in order to provide equipment and facilities for use by the pupils at the school. The money is raised by holding events, usually on the school premises, throughout the school year for both the parents and pupils. Events include a Christmas Shopping Evening, Mother's and Father's Day Sales and a Summer Fair. Discounted theatre and attraction tickets are also sold.
