Charities In Essex

Our charities funds are available only to the residents of the parish of Great Bardfield or to groups and societies benefitting such residents. The trustees meet 4 times per year. We advertise these dates in our village magazine and on the village website. Applications are considered and if approved are paid within a few daysof each meeting. Our annual report is given at the parish assembly.

Organising fund raising events

youth hub, life-skills coaching and mentoring, social enterprise supported volunteering and learning, whole-life integration for people with disabilities, restoring eden resettlement from homelessness, essex healing rooms holistic wellbeing and relief and support of suffering people, support for victims of abuse, eden garden eco-therapy & healthy living, creative craft therapy, teambuilding

The object of the charity is to raise funds to relieve the suffering and distress of animals (in particular dogs) which are in need of care and attention by reason of ill treatment, abandonment, injury or sickness. The ultimate aim is the rehoming of dogs whenever possible through the rescue centre of Wallace Kennels.

To provide financial assistance to boys and girls resident in the parishes of Fyfield Willingale or High Ongar or who have attended Dr Walker's School for a minimum of two years and who are in the opinion of the Trustees in need of financial assistance and to provide benefits to Dr Walker's School Fyfield of a kind not normally provided by the Local Education Authority.

Our main purpose is to advance the Christian faith through the teachings of the Bible and preaching the gospel. We hold Bible talks, family sessions, praise meetings, Bible study groups and Sunday School at our hall, plus monthly talks at Watford Central Library. We make a regular dispatch of literature on Bible topics, free of charge. We provide spiritual and pastoral care to our members.

Programmes of Indoor and outdoor activities for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts including events both in the UK and Europe

We operate a number of fund raising activities based around Oakhill Primary School. The funds raised from these activities are spent on activities, goods and services at the school.

CLASP has organised a regular Day Centre, a visiting group, transport for visits to clinics and hopitals and a minibus service for charitable and similar groups in the communities of Clare, Stoke by Clare, Hundon, Ashen, Hickford Hill, Glemsford and Cavendish.

Raising funds for the Gidea Park Primary School

Fosbees raises vital funds to aid the running of the school. We do this by holding events such as bazaars, fetes and discos. We also support the school in helping them put on sponsored events.

To advance the education of the general public in the subject of the historical and cultural importance of the Moot Hall, Maldon

To organise events and fundraising activities to raise funds to be spent on equipment and activities that will further the children's education.

Village Hall

The objects of the CIO are to advance the Islamic religion for the public benefit byholding prayer meetings, education and training and the celebration of religiousfestivals.

The purpose and objects of the Trust are;To improve the social well-being of the community of the region of Basildon, Essex formerly commonly known as Craylands including that part which has been subject to regeneration and renamed Beechwood Village

Maintenance of the Maurice Rowson hall in Gosfield for community purposes covering all age groups.

Christian activities

Restoration of former Trinity House Manned Light Vessel No 18 for use as a visitor attraction and heritage learning facility.

Education & Training of young people to teach them, amongst other things, self respect, self reliance, survival, discipline and respect for others by means of various indoor and outdoor activities.

CWC delivers support to individuals and communities to live a longer healthy life.

We provide a building consisting of main hall, committee room, kitchen, bar, toilets and necessary supporting equipment for hire by people and organisations in the parish of Matching and beyond. We see the village hall as a focal point in the local community. Letting income provides our main resource but we also fund raise every year to assist in upkeep of the building and equipment.
