Offering the opportunity to work on physical, emotional and mental wellbeing through creative arts, music and talking therapies. We promote and facilitate change for all who engage with our services. Offering a programme of mental wellbeing through prevention, recovery and sustainability for both adults and children.

The Charity has as its main concerns the advancement of education, health, the saving of lives and the conservation of the environment.

Our main service uses music to benefit people with dementia and their carers. People can access Music Therapy @ Home, Together in Song singing groups in care homes (led by trained volunteers), Music Therapy in care homes and Sing 2 Remember groups in the community and Mindset. We also provide programmes for people with chronic lung disease and other health conditions through Social Prescribing.

Criteria; We support projects in areas where Samworth Brothers is an integral & important part of the local community.We support clubs and organisations who promote community participation in healthy physical recreation of particular sports & in the education of healthy nutrition.Our main target group is young people under aged 18 years old from hard to reach and disadvantaged groups.

Lifeboat and inland search and rescue, including flood and cliff rescue and missing person search, on the Severn, Wye, Usk and other rivers, and across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and parts of SE Wales, Herefordshire and beyond. Activities were conducted by SARA as Charity 505504 prior to 1 Jan 2022

Provision of professional counselling to adults of 18 years+. Donation according to means negotiated. Clients mostly in low income bracket & unable to afford counselling elsewhere.60 volunteer qualified counsellors & mature students in last stage of Diploma/Degree in Counselling staff the service. Centres in Gloucester, Cheltenham & Stroud.Annual programme of training courses & seminars.
