Promotion of sustainable energy and energy efficiency, especially in the region of Shrivenham and Watchfield, through events, grants and guided tours of Westmill Wind Farm and Solar Park.

Serens Wish provides support through assistance with daily essentials, presents at birthdays, christmas and other celebrations in addition to signposting to the relief of poverty and social economic disadvantage.

The principal purpose of the church is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist denomination. We are a lively pro active networking Church with a heart and mission to alleviate social isolation, especially reaching out to older residents, those living in the local rural area, including our neighbouring villages.

Youth Charity

To advance the education of members(aged 10 to 26) in agriculture,, country life and related subjects.Provide social welfare to such members and promote the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations, to improve and develop the spiritual and mental capacities, self reliance and individual responsibilities

To provide a warm, clean and friendly Centre which supports many community,education and health activities.To achieve this we will work to the highest standard possible at any given time.We do work in partnership with other organisations, businesses, and statutorycouncils to inform, advise and help others achieve a higher quality of life.

Conservation

THE COMMUNITY CENTRE IS FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE VILLAGES OF YORKLEY, OLDCROFT, VINEY HILL AND PILLOWELL ALL IN THE PARISH OF WEST DEAN WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS INCLUDING USE FOR MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES AND FOR OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.

Property management

The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a Community Association for the use of the inhabitants in the designated area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings for education and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with object improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

To complete and maintain for the future a village hall for the use of the local community

Affiliated to the Scout Association, 1st Dursley Scout Group provides a programme of badge work, a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, inter-personal skill and personal development activities from the age of 4 years, through Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts aged 14.5 years.
