A monthly meeting held in the village hall. Listening to a variety of speakers on different subjects.Running courses for members. Arranging outings for members as well as a monthly lunch club, book club and craft and scrabble meetings.

Exists for the benefit of the village of Filkins in memory of Jean Marian Hayes-Palmer in accordance with the wishes of Samuel Kenneth Henry Goodenough.

We hold a variety of fund raising events - such as raffles, quiz nights, and social events. These events are open to the school and wider local community in and around Soudley, and the money raised get put towards additional activities/equipment for the children that the school budget is not able to accommodate.
