The Slade Evangelical Church seeks to provide Biblical Christian teaching and ministry through Sunday services and midweek groups. It also seeks to reach out to and provide services to the surrounding area throughout the week through, for example, youth groups, meetings for elderly people, a toddlers and carers group, meals for the homeless and English classes for speakers of other languages.

Furthermore to:-Provide a meeting place for the members of the community, sikh education facilities, to perform Marriage services, create a religious atmosphere and infuse spirit of service, fraternity, brotherhood amongst members, establish Library, sports and youth activities.

Provision of community facilities and support to local community groups

(a) providing information/advice about local health and care services, (b) making the views and experiences of the public known to health and care services, (c) enabling local people to have a voice in the development and delivery of health and care services, (d) supporting skills development for volunteers and the wider public to understand and review health and care services.

The activities of our charity mainly consist of the following:a. Sikh religious prayers for the local communityb. Ceremonials functions such as marriages and religious functions such as Sikh new yearsc. Facilties for teaching punjabi and english languages for any agesd. provision of facilities for the local school children visits as part of their educational program

Provision of support victims of all race or faith related hate crime.Delivery of training re equality legislationIncrease participation and representation by Minority communities in local service planning and decision-making processes. Support, inform and educate local Public and Voluntary Sector organisations on race and faith equality matters relating to their specialist services.

Activities of sport clubs

The centre provides services, access and premises to various organisations for meetings, conferences. Catering to the needs of faith groups, private parties and functions. Provides facilities for sport groups, art and cultural and social groups. We also provide help and guidance to various vulnerable groups on health and such issues.

Middle Park Community Centre provides a wide range of support and servies to the whole community of the estate and the surrounding area of South Greenwich. We operate an open door policy and provide a safety net in times of need to the community.

To provide free accommodation, heating and maintenance to retired persons on restricted means and capable of looking after themselves who reside in the parishes of Eltham and Mottingham.

We are a community association managed by a board of trustees supplying a venue and supported activities for a number of local groups, including young children to the elderly, attending various activities to improve their quality of life.
