THAMES friends exists to inspire young musicians in Tower Hamlets. We do this through fundraising to provide additional opportunities to make music at the THAMES Saturday Music Centre and beyond. We work to provide opportunities for children across the Borough of Tower Hamlets for music education and musical enrichment raising funds to provide the resources to support this work.

Inspire!, the education business partnership, delivers work-related learning, enterprise education and work experience to young people aged 3-24 from Hackney and neighbouring boroughs. By linking businesses and their employees with schools, we inspire, support and open doors for young people, giving them access to a world of choices and opportunities that may otherwise have remained out of reach.

Activities, and personal development for young people.

We are affiliated to the National Deaf Childrens Society and our aim is to support and advise families in all aspects of hearing impairment from birth to young adulthood. Our role covers the social, welfare, education, medical and technological aspects of deafness in children. We organise events and outings to bring families together to encourage friendship and support.

The Trust has been delivering its normal activities of providing hot meals for its members with Health & Keep fit activities plus social garthering with outings.

ACDF undertakes a wide range of community development initiatives aimed at engaging and involving young people from diverse communities in self-help programmes, empowerment and regeneration activities and uses the performing arts to increase youth involvement and take up. Our Getfamilyar Project is contributing significantly to building bridges amongst young people from different boroughs.

Education/Training

HYPU currently runs successful school holiday programmes and a volunteer programme. All of the activities and programmes are open to young people between the ages of 10-25.

Youth Club activities recreational football for young people in Harrow, workshops on life skills, trips to local attractions. International Development Day-care / pre-school for market women children in Nigeria, Micro credit loan for market women in Nigeria and life skill training for young people (Youth to Adult living).

Manage Hackney allotment provision and promote horticulture in the Borough.
