Village Club

Provides a health & wellbeing community radio service on 94.7FM and DAB across the city of Winchester and surrounding villages, and a hospital radio service at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester, and a . Successor to unincorporated charity Winchester Hospital Radio (former registration number 290553).

Thruxton Memorial Hall is the village hall and provides a building for the use of the local community. The Hall hosts various local events including the annual Remembrance Day lunch, Produce Show, a community cafe and club for residents and provides the venue for most village clubs and societies. It is used by individual villagers for family gatherings.

We provide girls from the age of 4 to 18 a safe girl only space to develop skills and self confidence to take them into the adult world. They are led by volunteer leaders who allow the girls as much self governance as is practicable for their age.

Southampton Action runs regular public appeals to collect items, particularly but not exclusively clothing, shoes, household items, toiletries and camping equipment. Volunteers sort the donated items, which are then packed and delivered to order to refugees and asylum seekers in Southampton and also delivers items to refugee organisations working outside of the UK.

Plan, rehearse and stage dramatic plays in a variety of locations available to a diverse audience.

Support of the national schools in the parish of Lymington for the education of children and young people through education, training and by making grants to organisations.

Providing Scouting opportunities for Children in the Brighton Hill area of Basingstoke.

To support education and research in physiology within the University of Southampton by providing grants and studentships.

The charity works by raising funds from voluntary sources within the Diocese of Guildford which are used to make grants to assist local churches and faith-linked organisations develop and sustain community projects. Projects cover a wide range of public sectors including education, youth work, mental health, community development and the relief of homelessness and poverty in the local area.

We hold events throughout the year including Firework Night, Quiz Night, Summer Fayre, and other smaller fundraisers such as from the sale of tea towels, mugs and Christmas cards that the children have designed.

Providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the School, fostering more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the School and engaging in activities which support the School and advance the education of the pupils attending it.

To use the bequest of Miss Nalder under her will dated 24 Janauary 1987 to provide homes for local old people who could not otherwise afford to live in the Brockenhurst Civil Parish. The Trust currently owns four flats at Homeforde House in Brockenhurst which are let to this purpose.
