PROMOTION OF CLASSICAL MUSIC

TVoS works to ensure that people seeking sanctuary are welcomed into our region. We act in the interest of refugees and asylum seekers to ensure entitlement to the same rights as others and needs being met with respect to housing, health, education and legal protection. It is our duty to break down barriers to accessing services and to enable people seeking sanctuary to be understood.

Tees Valley Music Trust works with local music organisations to advance the musical education of the public, primarily in Middlesbrough and Tees Valley, to provide musical engagement and learning opportunities, and financial support, for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

A full year of social initiatives in partnership with North East churches as part of the national "Hope 08" initiative. The Just 10 series, based on the Ten Commandments, with Canon J John of the Philo Trust took place in Gateshead and Stockton on Tees with more than 88,000 people attending over 10 weeks.

The Centre was opened in 2005 to provide a facility for the residents and young people of the community. Activities include playgroups, a social group for ladies 50+ years and nurture groups. There are meeting rooms, activity rooms and an outdoor play area for hire. Our aim is to make the Lynnfield centre the hub of the local community for people of all ages to use.

Restoration of the old Hartlepool lifeboat The Princess Royal to use for educational trips for the general public.

Fundraising to enhance the educational and social skills development of students attending St Michael's Catholic Academy. Creating a range of activities that help with wider community cohesion, using natural resources to add skills in traditional crafts and horticulture. We produce a talking newspaper for the blind and partially sighted in the local area as shown below. This is produced on a fortnightly basis on CD or cassette tape and sent out to our listeners. Currently inactive since start of Covid 19 outbreak in February 2020.

The Foundations role is to support members, help them ensure that their services are of a high standard, assist with any governance issues, promote their activities and help secure the resources they need. The Foundation works with strategic partners to ensure that the voice of the youth sector is heard while also working to ensure that those in the sector understand the needs of young people.

The objects of NHSN CIO are the encouragement by every means of the study of natural history in all its branches and the conservation of the natural environment in north east England including its geology, flora and fauna
