Walkern Preschool is a charity-run pre-school serving a small village. We are based within the grounds of the primary school and cater for children aged 2 to 5. We run sessions with two age ranges and prepare the children for entry into primary school. All fundraising and grant money is used to run the preschool with any extra funding going towards the improvement of its facilities.

The charity exists for the benefit of all the residents of Codicote and the neighbourhood and in cooperation with residents, local authorities , voluntary and other organisations aims to fund , provide and oversee sporting and community faciliities with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents through sporting , recreational and comunity leisure time activity.

The preservation, restoration, maintenance, repair and improvement of the Cloisters, a grade II* listed building on the 'At Risk' register of Historic England, situated in Barrington Road, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire. Sports Aid eastern has a wide-ranging trust deed within the fields of education, disability and social welfare to:i. further the education of young people through the medium of sportii. encourage those with social and physical disadvantages to improve their lives through sportiii. enable those living in poverty to take advantage of the opportunities offered by sport

Provide assistance to elderly people in need in the area of City and District of St Albans, Hertfordshire

Provision of activities to both members and community aiming to show the love of Jesus Christ in both word and deed, including provision of regular public services of Christian worship, children?s activities, toddler groups and a ?Pastimes? group mainly for older folk plus various other activities throughout the year. The Church has also been active in the formation of the Rickmansworth food bank.

The charity aims to raise rental income by managing a portfolio of properties with the surplus income then being used to provide educational grants to either individuals or organisations.

To preserve and protect the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 11-24 through the provision of activities designed to build resilience and equip them with healthy coping strategies to manage the pressures they face, replacing self-destructive behaviours with positive life skills.

Home-Start Royston and south Cambridgeshire provides a volunteer home visiting service to families where there is a child under nine in the family, with the aim to support families to reach their full potential.
