Overseeing 14 Scout groups in the Hitchin District. These groups cater for people from the age of 4 to 25 years of age. The activities are wide and all groups meet weekly. The opportunities include camping and various other activities.

We have provided regular educational talks for people in their Third Age in St Albans and its surrounding locality and also facilitated their continued learning through interest groups. The project runs weekly meetings, day trips and overnight residentials for young people. The varied program includes the opportunity to interact with peers in an unstructured environment, organised outdoor and adventurous activities and opportunities for service to the community such as litter picking or maintenance of local amenities such as parks and woodlands.

An independent charity operating as an infrastructure & support organisation to other organisations working with young people in Herts. Affiliated organisations, clubs and projects work directly with over 40,000 young people on a regular basis. Pro-Action works in partnership with the statutory and private sector to bring direct benefit to young people and voluntary youth organisations.

To help the aims of both Scouting and Guiding to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities

We run a Community Centre. Within the centre we accomodate a Children's Centre and a Pre-school. We hire rooms out to many groups such as Dog Training, Girl Guides, Friendship Group, various dancing classes, toddler group, baby clinic, Zumba, Tai chi etc. We also put on regular events for the local community. We are sympathetic to charitable organisations wanting to use our centre.

The charity's activities include renovating ancient Hindu temples in India and provide funds for free food distribution at the temples on a regular basis. The charity also provides funds for educational facilities to the public and to invite learned people to the temples to give discourses. Regular meetings are held in UK to discuss the activities of the charity and spiritual topics.

The advancement of education in Bushey and district by the provision of a community museum and art gallery and local studies centre with material of archaeological, historical, artistic and social interest.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, in particular by the provision of facilities for the playing of hockey for adults and children. We develop and manage the provision of facilities, coaching, fixtures, officials and all other matters required for the playing of hockey. We raise money through local fundraising activities, consistent with the aims of Rotary international, and provide human resources, to assist the poor and needy and to support local educational activities.

The Synagogue holds regular Shabbat services and regular Cheder sessions for children. There is also an adult education programme. We also hold social events during the year. The Synagogue is represented on the Milton Keynes Council of Faiths and Interfaith Milton Keynes.

To advance the Christian faith and to advance christian education in Hatfield, St. Albans and Welwyn Garden City and in such other parts of the UK or the work as the Trustees may from time to time think fit.

The charity provides about 50 different learning groups to advance the education of the public and in particular the education of older people no longer in full time gainful employment in Northwood and its surrounding area.
