Being part of the Scouting Association, the 3rd Harpenden Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential.

The promotion of the education of the public in the arts with regard to music, speech and drama. The provision of an opportunity,mainly for young people,to take part and benefit from entering classes on a competitive basis with professional adjudication and to perform at concerts and finales before a public audience.

Razed Roof is an inclusive theatre company offering training, workshops and performance opportunities for adults and young people with and without disabilities and learning difficulties

The aims of the Charity are to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education & the appreciation of theatre, drama and the arts in all its aspects by, but not limited to:1 the preparation and presentation of theatre and music theatre performances by pre-dominantly disabled and under-privileged young people, but not exclusively: and2 the provision of workshops in theatre, drama & arts.

The ownership of the Pennefather Memorial Hall from which it receives income from lettings to pay for the running costs of the property. The trust also owns a property at 8 Wentworth Road, Barnet, Herts which provides living accommodation for the assistant vicar / curate of Christ Church Barnet

To promote the restoration and use of the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal and to educate the public in its history, use and ecology.

General Scout activities for young people aged 6 to 18. This includes activities such as crafts, camps, hikes, and a number of other outdoor activities.

For the relief of the aged and physically challenged persons by the provision of facilities for recreation or leisure time occupation for such persons resident in royston and surrounding areas.

We are a learning co-operative of older people which enables members to share educational, creative and leisure activities.

Provision of Almshouse Accomodation for the elderly

To advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public in accordance with the Statement of Beliefs in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom as the Trustees from time to time may think fit including promoting an understanding of equal treatment of all.The relief of sickness and poverty of the general public by providing: goods and meals to those experiencing hardship.

Environmental education and hands-on activities for school and youth groups; sessions are led by an experienced teacher.We work with other charities and organisations on specific projects on the nature reserve in which young people can learn basic skills in nature conservation, work collaboratively and enjoy working outdoors.

The LAKPA provides support to persons suffering from kidney disease in particular patients from Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire receiving treatment via the Lister Hospital, Stevenage. We provide services or items to improve the welfare of renal patients and carers e.g. equipment, printed information, speakers, grants to patients and subsidised social events.

TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING AND DISTRESS CAUSED BY BEREAVEMENT BY OFFERING SUPPORT THROUGH THE PROCESS OF GRIEVING; INCREASING AWARENESS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE NEEDS OF BEREAVED PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY; TRAINING AND SUPERVISING VOLUNTEERS IN VISITING AND LISTENING SKILLS; CO-OPERATING WITH AND OFFERING TRAINING TO OTHER AGENCIES ENGAGED IN SIMILAR WORK.

The principal objective of Aims2Cure is to promote medical research into the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis; to disseminate the useful results of such research and to relieve persons suffering from multiple sclerosis and associated diseases.

Educational and Leisure time activities for middle aged and older people from Hertford and surrounding areas

The prevention or relief of poverty in Borehamwood and the surrounding area in particular, but not exclusively, by providing emergency food supplies and essential toiletries to individuals in need and/or charities or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.

The WGC (ST Francis Scout) Scout group, currently runs 2, beaver packs for 6-8 year old Children, 2, Cub packs for 8-10 year old childen and 2 Scout groups for 10-15 year old children. We have in the region of 150 children attending these groups. Usual team building and educational activities including camping and helping the Church's charity fund raising activities.

Operation of local Village Hall for use by the community

Another successful year as we re-build our repertoire and bring new members up to speed. In September we joined another chorus and a quartet on stage to entertain a sell-out audience. Shortly afterwards we hosted a Time to Harmonise course introducing a number of people to the enjoyment and benefits of singing in four-part close harmony. Some have auditioned and joined the chorus.
