The Church provides public worship in St Alban's and weekly prayer meetings. It also runs a parent and toddler group and various social activities for the local community e.g. craft cafe, art group. We support charities who provide practical and financial support to people in need in the UK and abroad and organisations that provide outreach into local schools and other outreach organisations.

The Charity is a Parent Teacher Association for a Primary School in Hertfordshire. It aims to raise money for the benefit of the children at the school. Fundraising activities are organised by parents to raise money and encourage community spirit. Monies raised directly benefit the school and its children such as new computer equipment, playground equipment, musical instruments and smaller items.

We subsidies or free places to children who's families might not be able to pay. The subsidised places are in our orchestras and string groups, out wood wind band and ensembles.

To provide guidance & facilities to the 6 scout groups within Hertford District to promote the ideals of the scout movement.

The church are for the advancement of the christian faith, in accordance with our core belief for the benefit of the public through teaching of the word of God, preaching the gospel, having prayer meetings and holding public cultural and religious programmes. Also feeding the homeless, supporting children hospice, counselling people with drugs and prison ministry service.

To relieve and assist by all charitable means, the residents of Prince Michael of Kent Court, (Watford) through the provision of facilities not normally supplied by the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (R.M.B.I.).

Presentation of orchestral concerts to the general public.

For the public benefit (a) the advancement of amateur sport by promoting the game of bridge for the benefit of the residents of Hitchin and the surrounding area. (b) the provision of facilities for the learning, teaching and playing of bridge for the benefit of the residents of Hitchin and the surrounding area with the object of improving conditions of life.

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

Charitable Trust for the benefit of organisations operating within the parish of Knebworth. The Knebworth Village Trust does not offer grants to national organisations unless they can prove that all the beneficiaries of a particular project reside within the parish of Knebworth (NB not the SG3 postcode area which is wider than the parish).

To provide the opportunities for the young people of the group to achieve their best in physical, mental & moral fields.

To raise money for the school activities and to purchase new equipment for the school

Educational grants to (a) voluntary aided schools and (b) any such school in the area of benefit; (c) individuals under 25 years who are resident, attend college or further education, or are employed in the area of benefit and are in need of financial assistance for educational or preparation for entry into employment purposes. Grants are not available towards private school fees.

To advance the education of pupils in the school by organising fund raising events. Money raised is donated to the school to pay for activities, equipment or facilities that would not normally be paid for by the local authority. Equipment such as interactive whiteboards, well-stocked library and new learning areas have helped the school achieve Outstanding status by Ofsted in December 2008.

THE PURPOSE OF SCOUTING IS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS, AS INDIVIDUALS, AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND AS MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES. THIS IS ACHIEVED THROUGH STRUCTURED TRAINING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE POLICY, ORGANISATION AND RULES OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION.

To advance the education of the pupils in the school, in particular by developing effective relationships between the staff and parents and others associated with the school and engaging in activities or providing facilities and/or equipment which support the school and advance the education of its pupils.

The charity raises money for the Fleetville Infant and Nursery School. These funds are used to provide extra items for the school and children that would not otherwise be funded within the school budget.The charity provides a social function within the school community where parents, teachers and children can meet and enjoy various events throughout the year.

Berkhamsted Castle Trust provides education about, promotes and maintains, Berkhamsted Castle, Hertfordshire. It fosters use and enjoyment of the Castle by the public, and undertakes historical research or archaeological investigation into the Castle and people or events of historical significance connected to it.

Maintenance and management of Nash Mills village hall. The hall is used by the greater community for social activities and gatherings. The hall is self funding and we receive no financial support for running costs from the Parish or local council.

The study and practice of choral music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by means of public performance and such other ways as the Society through its charity trustees shall from time to time decide.

Distribution of capital and income for education, including scholarships and the relief of poverty to persons involved in the electrical appliance industry and their dependents.

We operate sporting and educational youth initiatives across Hertfordshire, centred on the sport of amateur boxing, based on the same protocols that an amateur boxer would take whilst training, with the exception of sparring, this is an absolutely no contact initiative.

The principal object of the Great Eastern Railway Society is to promote the advancement of public education and knowledge of the Great Eastern Railway, its predecessors, successors and associated railway companies by historical research and study.
